Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone did not secretly get married before the Oscars, nor is she expecting his baby. That's the premise of a new tabloid story, but Gossip Cop debunk it. The entire storyline is false.

DiCaprio and Morrone made their first official public appearance together at the Academy Awards earlier this month. According to OK!, the reason the actor finally brought his girlfriend to an awards show is because they've tied the knot. The outlet maintains that the couple of two years exchanged vows on a private island in the Bahamas shortly before the Oscars.

An unknown source says, "They've been trying to keep the news quiet, but decided it was time to finally let some of Leo's showbiz pals and his Once Upon a Time in Hollywood costars in on the secret. They told everyone at one of the afterparties - and of course there were lots of hugs, cheers and tears of joy." A fake wedding isn't enough for the tabloid, so the "insider" is further quoted as saying, "There's buzz that Camila's pregnant! Camila and Leo both want to be parents and have been hinting they're trying. If the rumors are true, their loved ones would be over the moon."

From there, Brad Pitt enters the phony picture. "It was Brad who encouraged Leo to take a leap of faith and commit to Camila," says the anonymous tipster, adding that DiCaprio immediately took his co-star's advice and "hopped on a private jet with Camila and flew to the Bahamas, where he asked her to be his wife."

As the story goes, DiCaprio secretly flew in their close family and friends for the celebration, which cost him $4 million to pull off. In addition to Pitt, other stars said to have attended include Kate Winslet, Jonah Hill and Tobey Maguire. DiCaprio and Morrone supposedly exchanged vows on the beach, during which he promised "to never cheat." This was followed by a reception featuring "the world's best bongo players" and "a tropical buffet."

As for "the most memorable part of the evening," the alleged source says Pitt gave a touching best man speech, during which he "thanked Leo for being such a good friend to him over the years and promised to always be there for him and his bride." By the end of the actor's speech, "there wasn't a dry eye in the house," says the seemingly nonexistent insider.

This fantasy wedding was created in the writers room at OK! Gossip Cop checked in with DiCaprio's spokesperson, who tells us the story is completely untrue. The actor's rep also tells us that the magazine "did not even reach out" to fact-check its story. That's probably because it's tough to fact-check a story that was created out of thin air.

Of course, there's not a single other publication in the world reporting that DiCaprio got married in the Bahamas. OK! also fails to provide a specific date for when this secret ceremony occurred. If DiCaprio, Pitt and a slew of other A-listers traveled to the Bahamas together during the past two months or so, it's virtually impossible they wouldn't have been spotted. Although it's true that DiCaprio and Morrone's relationship is getting increasingly serious, they're not secretly married or expecting a child.

It should also be noted, OK! can't keep track of its phony stories. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid last August for wrongly reporting that Pitt had helped DiCaprio propose to his girlfriend. Naturally, the magazine doesn't mention the imaginary engagement from six months ago. Shortly before that, the same outlet said Dicaprio and Morrone were having "trust issues." The tabloid has never had any insight into the couple's romance.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
