Lady Gaga and Christian Carino are not already planning to marry, despite a tabloid report speculating the couple is "scouting wedding locations." Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story.
"Gaga & Christian: Talking Wedding Already," reads a headline in the new issue of Life & Style. The tabloid notes the pair was "recently spotted cuddling on a Montauk, N.Y., beach," and claims "the lovebirds of six months may have been scouting wedding locations." A so-called "insider" alleges to the gossip magazine that Gaga and Carino "have been talking about a 2017 wedding, even as soon as this summer."
This supposed source continues, "Gaga loves the Hamptons and it's on the short list for possible locations... Gaga wants to be out in nature and near the water when she says 'I do.'" The outlet concedes, however, that the couple isn't engaged. Contends its purported tipster, "All that's left now is for Christian to get a ring, a huge one if he's smart, and propose."
Actually, it seems like there's a lot left to do if Gaga is still "scouting wedding locations" and a has a "short list." The publication itself even says she has to "fine-tune the details." But was the couple's trip to Long Island really about a possible wedding? Gossip Cop is told no. "They were just there for vacation. Nothing more," an impeccable contact exclusively assures us.
And Life & Style, we must mention, is not a reliable resource for accurate news about the pop star's love life. Last fall, Gossip Cop debunked a story from the tabloid that falsely claimed Gaga and Taylor Kinney were getting back together. And, exactly one year ago, we busted the magazine for wrongly alleging Gaga put her wedding to Kinney on hold to have a baby. Well, 12 months later, not only is there no baby, just as Gossip Cop said there wouldn't be, but she and the "Chicago Fire" actor aren't even together anymore. At this point, it's unclear if Gaga and Carino's romance will go the distance, let alone lead to a wedding.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
