Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lawrence don’t have any jealousy issues when it comes to their respective friendships with Bradley Cooper, but the tabloids frequently attempt to create drama between the three stars. Gossip Cop has debunked several stories about the singer and the actress vying for the actor’s affection. Here are a few wrong rumors on the subject.

Just last week, Gossip Cop called out the Globe for wrongly reporting that Gaga and Lawrence were competing to co-star with Cooper in his upcoming movie, Nightmare Alley. The actor is set to star in the remake of the 1947 film, which centers on a conman and a female psychiatrist who swindle people out of money through a mentalist act, until she turns the tables on him.

The outlet maintained that Lawrence and Gaga were fighting over the lead female role, but a source close to Cooper told us there was “zero truth to anything out there at this stage” regarding casting for Nightmare Alley. Our trusted insider said the idea that Gaga and Lawrence were battling over the co-starring role was simply “insane.”

In January, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Lawrence was jealous of Cooper and Gaga sparking a close friendship on the set of A Star Is Born. The Hunger Games actress has co-starred with Cooper in several films over the past few years, including Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, Serena and Joy. According to the outlet, Lawrence felt the actor was shutting her out in favor of his A Star Is Born co-star.

“Bradley’s friendship meant a lot to her,” a supposed insider told the publication. “Jennifer is sad that Bradley seems to have moved on with Gaga.” In reality, Lawrence wasn’t upset about her frequent co-star working with another woman. A source close to the situation assured us that Cooper and Lawrence were still good pals, and Gaga hadn’t come between them. The magazine didn’t seem to grasp the concept of someone having more than one friend.

And last year, Gossip Cop debunked an In Touch article alleging Lawrence was angry at Cooper for casting Gaga in A Star Is Born instead of her. “She feels she and Bradley should have done the film together,” said a questionable tipster. Not only did Lawrence’s own rep dismiss the story as nonsense, but the actress herself praised A Star Is Born during an interview on Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast.

Prior the the release of the film, Lawrence revealed that Cooper had already screened it for her, calling it “phenomenal.” She added, “He’s going to be one of the greats. He’s going to be an amazing director.” Meanwhile, Lawrence copped to having a terrible singing voice during an interview on “The Late Show with David Letterman” in 2014. The actress never felt like Gaga stole the lead role from her in A Star Is Born. The actress never believed she was right for the role of an aspiring singer and also made it clear she loved the movie.
