Did Lady Gaga and Irina Shayk get into a fight over Bradley Cooper at the Golden Globes? That's the claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the supposed drama and we've learned the truth.
According to In Touch, Cooper's girlfriend and his A Star Is Born co-star clashed at the awards show while vying for his attention. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Bradley was sitting between them during the show and it was like they were both competing [for him]."
The supposed source goes on to say that the singer looked very "subdued" at an afterparty following the ceremony, and it was due to all of the "tension" between her and Shayk. "Everyone thought she was emotional over her win [for Best Original Song] but I wouldn't be surprised if it was really because she had words with Irina," adds the questionable tipster.
The tabloid's account of events, which is coming from an anonymous "source," is entirely made-up. Despite what the outlet's so-called "insider" claims, Gossip Cop checked in with Gaga's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that the report is simply "untrue." The singer, who attended the Golden Globes with her fiance Christian Carino, isn't feuding with Cooper's girlfriend.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time In Touch has attempted to create a nonexistent love triangle between the subjects of this story. Gossip Cop busted the tabloid last October for falsely claiming that Cooper and Shayk were headed for a split over his friendship with Gaga. The happy couple, who share a nearly two-year-old daughter together, are still going strong.
There have been other variations of this bogus narrative over the past few months. Gossip Cop also called out In Touch's sister publication, Star, for falsely claiming that Cooper refused to invite Shayk to the premiere of A Star Is Born because he wanted to walk the red carpet with Gaga instead. Shortly later, Gossip Cop debunked a Life & Style story about Cooper and Gaga falling in love with each other, leaving Shayk "jealous" and "miserable."
In reality, Cooper and Shayk have showed a lot of PDA on the awards circuit, which is unusual for the very private couple. After cozying up together at the Golden Globes, the Russian model supported her boyfriend at the National Board of Review Awards Gala in New York City. Although Cooper and Gaga formed a close bond while making A Star Is Born, their relationship is completely platonic, and Shayk isn't battling the singer for his affection.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
