Is Lady Gaga really tattooing Bradley Cooper's name on her body? That's the claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the story, and we can set the record straight.
According to Star, Lady Gaga is so indebted to her A Star Is Born co-star and director that she wants to get permanently inked in his honor. The magazine further contends Cooper's girlfriend, Irina Shayk, is furious about the idea. "Gaga said, 'I love Bradley so much! Can I tattoo his name on my butt?'" a supposed source tells the outlet. "Irina made a face of total disgust and turned away."
The tabloid's alleged insider goes on to assert Shayk is sick of the singer fawning over her boyfriend. "She feels like Bradley spent two years neglecting his family for this film," adds the questionable tipster. "Irina can't wait until awards season is over. She never wants to see Lady Gaga again."
The publication seems to have concocted this story simply because Lady Gaga and Cooper formed a close bond while making their movie. Gossip Cop, however, reached out to the singer's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that she's not tattooing her co-star's name on her butt. Despite what the magazine's anonymous and untraceable "insider" claims, a rep qualified to speak on Lady Gaga's behalf confirms there's no truth to the story.
The idea that the singer is coming between Cooper and his girlfriend isn't true either. Earlier this month, Cooper and Shayk showed a ton of PDA at the Golden Globes, where they were joined by Lady Gaga and her fiance Christian Carino. The A Star Is Born co-stars are very close friends, but they're both in committed relationships with other people.
Unfortunately, Star has been insisting on creating a fake love triangle between Cooper, his girlfriend and his co-star. A few months ago, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Cooper refused to invite Shayk to the premiere of A Star Is Born because he wanted to walk the red carpet with Lady Gaga instead.
Earlier this month, Gossip Cop called out the tabloid for making up a story about Cooper and Shayk fighting over his supposed refusal to marry her. In reality, the couple is on the same page when it comes to the status of their relationship. This latest article involving Shayk's fury over a nonexistent tattoo is more nonsense.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
