A tabloid claims Lady Gaga started a new romance with her sound engineer Dan Horton because Bradley Cooper refused to commit to her. Nothing about the story is accurate. Gossip Cop can correct it.
According to In Touch, the singer believed she'd finally be able to openly date her A Star Is Born co-star following his split from Irina Shayk, but he wouldn't settle down. As a result, says a supposed source, she decided to pursue a relationship with Horton, who she was spotted kissing during a lunch date in Los Angeles last week.
"I think a part of her was trying to make [Cooper] jealous," adds the alleged tipster. "She wants him to see what he's missing. Maybe then he'll finally commit to her." The questionable insider goes on to say that Gaga also couldn't "sit around and wait forever, so she's trying to move on."
As for why Cooper supposedly wouldn't commit, the "insider" maintains that the actor is "still reeling from his split with Irina and trying to figure out his co-parenting thing [with his two-year-old daughter]. His head is all over the place. It wouldn't be fair of him to jump into a relationship with Gaga when he's in that space."
The seemingly phony source, however, believes that Gaga and Cooper are destined to be in a committed romance eventually. "I've seen the way he looks at her - I think everyone has," says the possibly imaginary insider. "They're meant to be together. Dan is just a distraction, but Bradley is the real deal. Trust me, Bradley isn't about to let her slip away."
The main problems with the tabloid's phony story is that Gaga and Cooper have never been romantically involved, as spokespeople for both stars have assured Gossip Cop countless times. The singer herself confirmed this in an interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" earlier this year. We once again checked in with a source close the situation, who tells us this latest article is more nonsense.
Less than a month ago, Gossip Cop busted In Touch for falsely claiming Gaga had moved into Cooper's New York City townhouse. That didn't happen, but allowing someone to live with you seems like quite the commitment, so the magazine can't even keep up with the narratives it creates. Regardless, the two were never living together.
In late June, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for wrongly reporting that Gaga and Cooper were having a baby together. That's also a big commitment, if it was true, which it wasn't. Shortly before that, the unreliable outlet swore Cooper was eager to marry Gaga. Sounds committed to us. Over the past few months, the magazine has pushed storylines involving marriage, babies and cohabitation, but now the actor is suddenly afraid to commit? None of it adds up, and that's because there's never been any truth to these various narratives.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
