Is Lady Gaga stealing Bradley Cooper from his girlfriend Irina Shayk? That's the absurd claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story.
According to Star, the relationship between the A Star Is Born co-stars is becoming increasingly intimate. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Gaga and Bradley just won't stop talking about how much they love each other, which has raised more than a few eyebrows. They may insist they're just the best of friends, but with the way they look at each other, it wouldn't be surprising if they revealed they're having a behind-the-scenes affair."
The outlet's supposed source goes on to say that Shayk is furious about Cooper and Gaga being "all over each other," to the point where she "stormed off" from the couple's New York City apartment "and took [their 22-month-old daughter] with her." The questionable tipster further contends that the Russian supermodel "has reached her breaking point. She's the one that Bradley's with, and Irina has made it clear to him that he'd better start acting that way." The suspicious source concludes, "She'll be relieved when Gaga is finally out of the picture. But given how close she and Bradley have become, that may never happen."
The tabloid's story is wrong on every level. For starters, Gaga is engaged to talent agent Christian Carino, who accompanied her to the Golden Globe Awards earlier this month. Gaga thanked her fiance while accepting the award for Best Actress at the National Board of Review awards gala a few weeks ago. The singer said during her speech, "Thank you Christian for loving and taking care of my heart every day." Gaga also called Carino "my love" during her acceptance speech at the Critics' Choice Awards.
As for Cooper's girlfriend, she's continuously supported him on the awards circuit for A Star Is Born, despite the private couple typically keeping their romance out of the spotlight. Earlier this month, Cooper and Shayk were spotted showing a lot of PDA at the Golden Globes. A few days later, the model accompanied her boyfriend to the National Board of Review Awards Gala in New York City.
Additionally, Gaga's rep has assured Gossip Cop on the record several times that there's nothing romantic about her relationship with her co-star. Last week, Star falsely claimed Gaga was tattooing Cooper's name on her body. Shortly before that nonsense, we busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Cooper refused to invite Shayk to the premiere of A Star Is Born because he wanted to walk the red carpet with his co-star. There's simply no truth to this ongoing saga.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
