Lady Gaga was not caught performing a “satanic ritual” involving a “blood bath” at a hotel. This is an old, fake news story Gossip Cop can bust.

Neon Nettle is alleging on Thursday, “Pop star Lady Gaga has been caught performing a satanic ritual during her stay at a luxury London hotel. The singer has been accused of partaking in a Satan-worshipping ceremony after hotel staff discovered a bathtub full of blood in her $2000-a-night suite.” Notably, no date for this alleged incident is given. But the site contends, “Workers at the Intercontinental Hotel on London’s exclusive Park Lane were shocked to unearth the gruesome discovery in the ‘American Horror Story’ actress’s room.”

The outlet goes on to maintain a hotel worker “spoke out about the incident to say that suspicions had previously been raised by ‘creepy’ activity and unusual comings and goings from the room, saying that the singer was ‘bathing in blood as part of a Satanic ritual.'” This unnamed employee is quoted by the website as supposedly claiming, “Lady Gaga left large amounts of blood in the suite. The incident was reported to the concierge, who was told to put it out of her mind.”

There’s no other information provided on what allegedly went down, such as whether Lady Gaga was charged for any blood-soaked damage to the room. The supposed “unusual comings and goings” are not described. And it’s not said if Gaga had checked out by the time the “gruesome discovery” was purportedly made. There’s also no evidence the singer has even been in London recently. While the temperature there is currently in the 40s and 50s, on Wednesday Lady Gaga posted a Twitter photo of herself in a bikini, suggesting her locale is some place warm.

And as Gossip Cop investigated this article further, we made our own discovery. It is a copy of nonsense that was spread about the performer back in 2012. Almost exactly five years ago to the day, we busted a rumor about Gaga bathing in blood at a London hotel. The establishment named in that story was also the Intercontinental, and the article featured an alleged quote from a supposed hotel housekeeper, the same quote that Neon Nettle is peddling now.

At the time, a rep for Gaga told us the claims were “ridiculous.” It’s even more ridiculous that an outlet is trying to sell the same debunked tall tale all these years later as if it’s some kind of real, new scoop. But the online publication is bloody wrong, just as it was when it tried tying Lady Gaga to the Illuminati back in September.
