Kylie Jenner was not dumped by Travis Scott and she isn't moving to New York. These claims are circulating thanks to the British media, but they aren't true. Gossip Cop can bust the reports.
The allegations can be traced back to Heat, but are being spread online by the Mirror, which contends, "It looks like Kylie faces life as a 'single mum' without her rapper beau — and is even considering a move from LA to New York to get over him." The UK newspaper has no independent reporting to back up these assertions. Rather, the claims are based entirely off an article from the disreputable tabloid.
A supposed "source" from the gossip magazine is quoted as saying, "Kylie really thought her future was with Travis and the baby, so the split came as a huge surprise. She's going through a very dark time with her mood swings and changing body shape, plus her romance is in ruins, so she's decided she needs a change and has always loved New York."
If Jenner is "going through a very dark time," why would she want to move on the other side of the country from her family, particularly with a newborn? Instead of addressing that logic issue, the Mirror changes its focus to Scott and questions "how close within the Kardashians circle Travis is." The outlet refers to Scott's recent Billboard cover story, in which he declined to discuss his relationship with Jenner.
Of course, she hasn't publicly spoken about their romance either or addressed her pregnancy, so that can hardly be used as a way to gauge their relationship status. Clearly they've preferred to keep their personal life private all along, which makes it hard to believe a real "source" would be leaking information to a British tabloid. Still, that didn't stop another English publication, the Sun, from also picking up the report and wrongly regurgitating all the false claims. It actually seems that a U.S. webloid might've been the inspiration for this suspicious storyline.
In late December, RadarOnline claimed (albeit falsely) that Scott dumped Jenner after Christmas. Now Heat is peddling a similar narrative and the Mirror has picked it up. But, as People reported less than a week ago, Jenner and Scott are still together. The pair was unable to spend much time with one another in the fall due to the rapper's work commitments, but his calendar is now largely open as they await the birth of their child.
While they may not ultimately go the distance, right now the gossip media is just trying to sensationalize the couple's relationship and pregnancy. There isn't any actual scandal, unless you count these false reports. It's also worth noting Heat and the Mirror also teamed up a month ago on a tale about Jenner and sister Khloe Kardashian having a "joint birth." That was bogus, too.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
