Kris Jenner and Kylie Jenner are fighting to kick one another out of their shared office space? That’s the claim in one of the tabloids. Although there’s a bit of truth to this scenario, Gossip Cop can confirm that much of it is misleading and untrue.
According to the National Enquirer, Kris and Kylie are engaged in an all out war over the office space that they share with one another. The main event in question occurred on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians in which Kris criticized her daughter for moving her into a smaller area of the office.
A supposed source tells the magazine, “Kris has been relegated to paying thousands of dollars to host private conferences at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. Kris is often holed up at the Waldorf with business associates because she’s not allowed to use Kylie’s office space for large meetings.”
Kris, according to the alleged insider, “marches up and down the hotel corridors” making business deals and talking to associates since she’s effectively been removed from her old office. The situation supposedly escalated over a parking debacle. “Kylie was getting annoyed because Kris was parking in her reserved spot and acting like she owned the place,” adds the tipster, “so she kicked her out of there, too!”
While some of these events played out in a way, a lot of this isn’t accurate and some of it is just made-up. The entire narrative was ripped from the tenth episode of season 16 of KUWTK. There is no “source” for this story — it’s just based on a plot line in which Kylie and Kris feuded over their office space. If the Enquirer wants to talk about the episode, then it should be honest and just publish it as a recap of an old episode from June. Don’t try to sell it as some kind of exclusive scoop from an “insider” that turns out to just be someone who watched half the episode.
The Waldorf Astoria claim doesn’t quite check out, however, as Kris clearly stated on KUWTK that she’s only going to work from home until she and Kylie work out the office issue. The two made up over donuts later in the episode, and at no point did she march over to the Waldorf to work there instead. By the end of the episode, the two agreed to have offices next door to one another rather than sharing one. The whole situation was resolved in the same episode, which the tabloid fails to mention.
This would hardly be the first time a magazine has attempted to create fictional drama between the mother and daughter. Back in 2017, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style, a sister publication of the Enquirer, for an untrue story about Kylie dumping Kris as her manager. Star, another one of the Enquirer‘s sister publications, published a ridiculous claim in March 2018 about Kris paying Travis Scott to stick around for Kylie and their baby. Those stories were completely made-up, while this latest one is just a half-truth based on an episode of KUWTK.
Gossip Cop cannot come to a verdict either way.
