Since it was revealed four months ago that Kylie Jenner is pregnant, one website in particular has been churning out fake news about the expectant star on a near-daily basis. Gossip Cop can bust this latest manufactured tale, which is about Jenner "bonding" with Kourtney Kardashian during her pregnancy.

HollywoodLife, which in addition to making-up stories about Jenner's pregnancy has also been questioning whether she's really expecting, is now claiming to have "learned exclusively" that her "unborn baby is already bringing people together" as she and Kardashian are "bonding like never before." This tale is based on a so-called "Kardashian insider," who claims the sisters have been "working closely together on a special line of cosmetics with Kourtney's name attached, and they've become very close."

That's one of the clues that this piece was concocted. On Wednesday, TMZ reported Kardashian was getting further into the cosmetics business and had filed an application to trademark "Kourt" for makeup branding. No legitimate outlet has reported that she's working with Jenner, a makeup mogul in her own right, on this endeavor. That might make it seem like the site scored a scoop. In actuality, HollywoodLies, as it's nicknamed, made an assumption that was likely inspired by the report and a suggestive Instagram story Kardashian shared earlier this month that hinted to a collaboration.

The quotes were just fudged to support this narrative about Kardashian and Jenner becoming "close." The online publication goes on to assert, "But their time together's apparently not all about the new makeup line." It's specifically alleged the pair are "in constant communication" due to the 20-year-old's pregnancy. That part is another red flag. The famous clan has often spoken in interviews and TV appearances about having an ongoing group text that they all chat in every day. In other words, Kardashian and Jenner have always been in "constant communication." It didn't take a pregnancy for them to start keeping in touch.

An episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" from almost exactly two years ago even showed Kardashian helping Jenner plan a housewarming party. Around the same time, they partnered up at a Golden Globes party (see photo above). The siblings didn't all of a sudden start leaning on each other. Yet here's the blog asking, "Are you surprised [Kourtney] and Kylie have reportedly been talking so much?" There's nothing surprising going on. Jenner has always leaned on her sister, just as she does her other family members, and it's rather obvious to suggest that Kardashian's experience as a mom of three makes her even more of an asset right now.

This is merely HollywoodLies' umpteenth attempt to capitalize on Jenner's pregnancy by pretending to have "exclusive" insight. Almost every day the online publication seems to make-up new angles, even though Gossip Cop has repeatedly been assured that no "Kardashian insiders" go leaking to the website. After all, if the outlet really had contacts, it wouldn't question whether Jenner is "really pregnant."

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
