Is Kylie Jenner really having plastic surgery to look like Kim Kardashian? A new report claims she wants to be her sister's "body clone." Gossip Cop, however, can bust the story.
According to Heat, Jenner is "dropping hundreds of thousands of dollars on surgery to rival Kim as the ultimate curvy Kardashian." It's specifically alleged the new mom has "already spent $100,000 on post-baby surgery, and now she's planning to undergo another $150,000 of work." A so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "Kylie's on a mission to be the top 'Brunette Barbie' ahead of Kim, and transform her body."
"She's obsessive about surgery and her diary is overflowing with appointments for various procedures. It seems to be her biggest priority and she says she doesn't care how much it costs," contends the tabloid's supposed snitch. The magazine alleges that fat transfers, a jawline reshaping and a nose job are among the procedures Jenner has already undergone, while the purported tipster asserts she "also wants liposuction on her underarms and is talking about having more work on her nose." The alleged insider declares to the publication, "Plastic surgery is a way of life for Kylie."
The tabloid even questions "who's feeding Stormi" if Jenner is so fixated on her appearance. Not only is that arguably a low blow, but all of this goes against what the reality star herself has said on the record. Just last month, Kardashian interviewed Jenner about motherhood for the Evening Standard magazine, and she spoke at length about her devotion to her baby girl. What's more, though, is that she also discussed her "thoughts on plastic surgery."
Jenner said, "I feel like if it makes you feel better, and if that's what you want to do, I'm not against it. Right now I probably wouldn't do anything, actually." Responded Kardashian, "You're 20, so I hope not! We'll talk in 20 years, and then maybe you'll have a different answer." Read that again: Jenner point-blank stated, "Right now I probably wouldn't do anything." Her word is much more valuable than an unnamed, untraceable "source" from a gossip magazine.
It's also suspicious that this tale almost comes off like a carbon copy of a May story from NW that falsely claimed Jenner had "head-to-toe surgery" to look like Kourtney Kardashian. Regardless of the alleged inspiration, the surgery claims were meritless then, just as they are now. Significantly, the photos used to illustrate this new "clone article" are from when Kim Kardashian and Jenner stepped out in twinning outfits last week, which seems to be the sole reason this latest version of this phony narrative was concocted. What Heat fails to mention, though, is that the style choice wasn't about one sister trying to emulate the other. Rather, both were promoting new clothing from Kanye West's Yeezy line. One day after the siblings stepped out, West officially unveiled his collection on Twitter.
Conclusion: The tabloid is using photos of Kardashian and Jenner dressed alike to allege the younger "KUWTK" star wants to become a "clone," but doesn't acknowledge they wore matching outfits to promote West's clothing line. And while the magazine relies on a single anonymous, unidentifiable "source" to claim Jenner is spending $250,000 on plastic surgery, she herself recently spoke out publicly about feeling cosmetic procedures are not right for her at this time in her life. This story is also curiously similar to a previously debunked report about her having surgery to look like Kourtney. For all of these reasons, the article is not credible.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
