A report about Kylie Jenner loving how "independent" Travis Scott is was made up. And not only is it fake news, but it contradicts two prior stories from the same outlet. Gossip Cop can explain how the inconsistency proves these purported "exclusive" are manufactured.
In mid-October, HollywoodLife published an "exclusive" about Jenner missing Scott while he's on the road during her pregnancy. A so-called "source" was quoted as saying, "Being apart from Travis is agony for Kylie. It's been over a week since she's seen him and every day she misses him more." Less than two weeks later, the webloid went a step further, claiming to have an "exclusive" about Jenner wanting Scott to "slow down and spend more time with her." That piece also had a "source," who supposedly said she was "urging Travis to take a break" from touring during her pregnancy because "she misses him a lot," and that she had "pleaded with Travis to spend more time at home with her."
Gossip Cop busted both of those tales at the time, after confirming they were concocted and that no one legitimately close to Jenner was sharing such information with the site. And now, after another two weeks have gone by, HollywoodLies, as its nicknamed, has a new "exclusive"... that claims the opposite of those prior two reports. The latest article begins, "Kylie Jenner doesn't get to see too much of BF Travis Scott with him away on tour and she's just fine with that. We've got EXCLUSIVE details on how she loves that he's independent and gives her space."
But just last month, HollywoodLies was insisting that Jenner wasn't okay with seeing Scott so infrequently while he toured and that it was "agony" to be apart. Yet now there's another "source" (ahem) quoted as saying, "Kylie likes being independent and the occasional distance between she and Travis keeps things exciting for her... Her last boyfriend was more co-dependent which was suffocating for Kylie. Tyga would not leave Kylie's side." That leads the outlet to ask readers, "Do you think Travis is a much better fit for Kylie than Tyga ever was?"
Nowhere does the online publication address or acknowledge why it had "sources" in October giving a completely different storyline from this "source" now in November. The blog also doesn't explain why, if it has these "sources" with all this inside knowledge, it keeps referring to Jenner as "allegedly pregnant" and saying things like, "the couple are reportedly expecting their first baby." How could HollywoodLies not know for sure that the reality star is pregnant? Why is its narrative inconsistent?
The answer to both questions is the same: The webloid either has the worst "sources" or it is inventing these "sources" out of thin air. From what Gossip Cop has seen and learned and been told over the course of investigating, it seems to be the latter. We're assured by our own Jenner-Kardashian contacts that no one would be dishing to HollywoodLies about Jenner's relationship with Scott. And, of course, it makes no sense for real "sources," if they actually existed, to suddenly switch from claiming she can't stand being apart from the rapper to asserting she loves that he spends time away. It doesn't take inside access to figure out what's going on here. It has become so obvious when the site is peddling fake news, readers can detect it all on their own.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
