Kylie Jenner is “determined” to outgross Kim Kardashian and become the first billionaire in the family, claims a new entirely made-up report. Gossip Cop can expose this fake news.

Earlier this week, Kris Jenner provided Women’s Wear Daily with documentation showing that her youngest daughter’s beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics, raked in $420 million in retail sales in 18 months. At that rate, the company is reportedly on track to earn $1 billion by 2022. HollywoodLife is now taking this news and pretending to have an “exclusive” follow-up about Kylie’s plans for the future of her business.

A supposed “source” tells the site that Kylie is on a mission to dethrone big sister Kim and become “the richest, most famous, and powerful Kardashian of them all.” The repeatedly discredited site goes on to say the reality star is “well within reach to become the first Kardashian billionaire,” before adding, “Right now the reality star’s network is reportedly around the $50 million mark, so she’s already halfway there.” We presume the site meant “net worth” instead of “network,” but that’s the least of the problems with this statement. While we don’t purport to be expert mathematicians at Gossip Cop, it doesn’t take a calculator to know that half of $1 billion is $500 million, not $50 million. So, no she’s nowhere near “halfway there.”

The outlet goes on to quote its alleged insider as saying, “She’s always know[n] that she was destined for huge things, and now, with the success of her makeup line, a billion dollars is well within her sights. She’s [a] true entrepreneur and the world is hers.” Despite HollywoodLife’s poor math skills, terrible typos, and fake-sounding quotes, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Kylie, who exclusively assures us no one in her trusted inner circle gave the site this supposed scoop. In fact, Kylie and Kim are very supportive of each other’s business ventures, even combining forces earlier this year to sell a lipstick product through both of their beauty companies.

Of course, HollywoodLies routinely publishes fake news about the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan, so this latest bogus article comes as no surprise. In fact, this isn’t the first time we’ve had to call out the webloid for trying to create fake tension between the sisters. Gossip Cop recently busted the site for falsely claiming Kim was jealous of Kylie’s rising fame. This latest tale of a billion-dollar sibling rivalry is equally bogus.
