Kristen Stewart did NOT “drop Twilight movie plans,” despite a completely false report. Gossip Cop can debunk the 100 percent wrong claim.

Celeb Dirty Laundry declares in a misguided headline, “Kristen Stewart Drops ‘Twilight’ Movie Plans With Robert Pattinson: Lands New Role In ‘Underwater’ Thriller.” The site writes in the accompanying story, “It looks like Kristen Stewart won’t have any time on her hands to make another ‘Twilight’ movie with Robert Pattinson in the near future. In fact, new reports indicate that the Hollywood star has just landed a new role in the psychological thriller, ‘Underwater.'”

After describing the project, the webloid says, “And while there have been reports suggesting that Kristen might reunite with her ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson for another ‘Twilight’ film, at this point it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.” Here’s the thing, though: Any report “suggesting” Stewart and Pattinson “might reunite” for “another Twilight film” has been false.

As Gossip Cop reported, it is true that Stewart is in talks to star in Underwater. But she did not “drop” any “plans” for a Twilight movie with Pattinson to do, because there haven’t been any plans for a Twilight movie with Pattinson. And Stewart’s participation in this new film has no bearing on whether or not the Twilight Saga franchise is revived.

Simply put, Stewart’s new gig has nothing to do with Pattinson and Twilight, and it is wrong to connect them as CDL has done. But the bad blog isn’t just inaccurate. The disreputable online publication is inconsistent, too. Just a few months ago, Celeb Dirty Laundry said Stewart was “refusing” to do more Twilight movies. But now she was supposedly willing and only “dropped” the plans for a new role? Please. It’s all just made up.
