A new story claiming Kristen Stewart's friends are "warning her to stay away" from Robert Pattinson is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can correct this report, which was posted by HollywoodLife. We're told it's "not true."

According to the often discredited website, Stewart's closest friends are "not happy" about her "rumored hangouts" with the actor. A so-called "source" is quoted as telling the online publication, "Kristen's friends believe the rumors about her hooking up with Rob again, but she is being coy and not talking about it to anyone." The outlet's most assuredly fake "insider" continues by claiming, "[Her] friends are warning her to leave Rob alone and not to ruin the good thing she has with Stella [Maxwell]."

In an attempt to support its premise, the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies goes on to ridiculously assert that Maxwell and Stewart, who have been dating since 2016, "may be heading for a breakup" after it was reported the model was allegedly caught "locking lips with Bella Hadid" in 2015. Her "secret meet ups with Robert couldn't have come at a more convenient time," adds the site. Of course, the purported "kiss" with Hadid was said to have taken place long before Stewart and Maxwell started dating, so to assume the alleged incident is now tearing them apart is absurd.

Equally ludicrous is the contention that Stewart's "friends" are believing "rumors" about her. Still, the website's questionable "source" is further quoted as saying, "Kristen has made it clear over the years, to those close to her that she hated how things ended between her and Rob," before adding, "She has secretly always wanted a chance to fix things and to try again with him, [because] she still loves him."

Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who wasn't authorized to speak on the record but laughed off the outlet's bogus report. We're assured Stewart's friends are not "warning her to stay away" from Pattinson, nor is her relationship with Maxwell on the rocks, as untruthfully alleged by the site. In fact, Stewart and Maxwell were spotted on a date in Los Angeles just two weeks ago. What's more, the happy couple were also photographed at LAX on Tuesday, showing that Stewart's allegiance is with Maxwell, not Pattinson.

Of course, HollywoodLies only manufactured this phony narrative after one of the tabloids recently claimed Pattinson and Stewart were getting back together. Predictably, the website picked up that tall tale and then, hours later, tried to dupe its readers into thinking it had a related "exclusive" about the former couple. But as usual, it's all lies, and the post was only concocted to piggyback off the magazine report, which wasn't even true.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Gossip Cop has busted the untrustworthy website for peddling fake news about Pattinson and Stewart. In February, we corrected HollywoodLies when it falsely claimed Pattinson "desperately" wanted to revive his "bond" with Stewart. Much like that untrue tale, this latest one surrounding the Twilight costars is equally ridiculous. More importantly, and as we've repeatedly noted in the past, HollywoodLies doesn't appear to have a real source connected to either star. A number of obviously fictional tales, which prove the site has no inside access, can be seen in our archives.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
