Cindy Crawford is not worried about her 16-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber hanging out with Kristen Stewart, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story. We're told there's no truth to it.
Gerber, an up-and-coming model following in her famous mom's footsteps, is friendly with Stewart and her girlfriend, Victoria's Secret model Stella Maxwell. The three were most recently spotted by paparazzi out to dinner in Los Angeles earlier this month. Last December, Stewart attended the Chanel fashion show in Germany, where Gerber walked the runway.
According to NW, however, Crawford is worried about her teenage daughter getting "sucked into the Hollywood party scene" by Stewart and Maxwell, both of whom are more than a decade older than Gerber. An alleged "source" tells the magazine that the legendary model is "freaking out about the random new friendship."
The supposed source adds, "She worries they're not the right kind of friends Kaia needs right now. She knows most models these days are involved in that kind of [party] scene. But that doesn't mean she wants her baby partaking in it. It's very toxic!" The suspicious tipster concludes, "Kaia's got a huge career ahead and Cindy would hate for her to be distracted by partying with A-listers."
And while the tabloid hides behind an unnamed and untraceable "source," Crawford's rep exclusively assures Gossip Cop on the record that the tabloid's article is "completely fabricated." The model doesn't believe that Stewart and Maxwell are bad influences on her daughter, and the claim otherwise is entirely unfounded. This is simply a non-issue.
It's worth noting, this isn't the first time that Gossip Cop has had to call out NW for making up a phony story surrounding one of Stewart's friendships. We recently busted an article falsely claiming that Stewart and Maxwell got into a fight over the actress hanging out with Ashley Benson. Only, Maxwell is actually friends with the "Pretty Little Liars" star as well, so the report was completely inaccurate.
Basically, the unreliable tabloid has a habit of creating nonexistent drama in Stewart's friendships with other celebrities. Gossip Cop, however, can confirm that Crawford isn't worried about her daughter hanging out with the actress. This latest article is yet another example of the magazine stirring up baseless controversy.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
