Kristen Stewart is accused of being a bad tipper in one of this week’s tabloids, but the allegation is entirely bogus. Gossip Cop looked into the claim and we can exclusively set the record straight.

The actress is included among several other stars in a section of this week’s OK! dubbed “Celebrity Cheapskates,” which features a roundup of stories about famous people supposedly being stingy. It’s said that Stewart frequents H Coffee House in Los Angeles, where she routinely orders more than $30 worth of food and drinks, but doesn’t leave much for a gratuity. A supposed “source” tells the magazine, “She only ever tips, like, $1. She’s a lovely person to talk to, but she never reaches into her pocket for her server. It’s weird.”

Here’s a better tip: If you’re going to write a story about a celebrity and mention a particular establishment, you should make sure with the place that your claim is accurate. Gossip Cop checked in with the L.A. hotspot, and no one at the restaurant was aware of Stewart having a reputation for tipping poorly. We also spoke to a source close to the actress, who insisted the magazine’s report is “made-up.”

Of course, Gossip Cop has repeatedly called out OK! for publishing phony articles about the actress, so this latest tall tale isn’t too surprising. We previously busted the publication for alleging Stewart’s mom hates her girlfriend Stella Maxwell. The unreliable outlet claimed the actress’s mother thought the Victoria’s Secret model was a bad influence, but there was no truth to the report.

Shortly before that fabrication, Gossip Cop debunked the magazine’s story about Stewart and Maxwell “talking marriage.” The untrustworthy tabloid insisted the couple was planning “an intimate outdoor ceremony in Southern California.” The outlet even said the two were drawing up vision boards and discussing potential wedding outfits, but there were no such talks happening. Obviously, no ceremony has occurred either. This latest article about Stewart’s allegedly poor tipping habits is equally incorrect.
