Is Kris Jenner really pitching a reality show to Gwyneth Paltrow? One of this week’s tabloids claims the TV personality wants to produce a series surrounding the actress’s career and personal life. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.
According to OK!, Jenner approached Paltrow at Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party last month and proposed the idea of a reality show focusing on the actress co-parenting her children with ex-husband Chris Martin, her lifestyle brand Goop and more. A so-called “source” tells the site, “It would be highbrow, not like ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians.'”
The outlet’s supposed insider says Paltrow is very intrigued by the idea, especially at the prospect of promoting Goop on TV every week. “Gwyneth is eager to prove she’s relatable,” adds the questionable tipster. Martin, on the other hand, is said to be skeptical about putting their two kids on TV. But the alleged source adds, “He tends to follow her lead. All she has to do is bring him around.”
Gossip Cop, however, is assured by a rep for Paltrow that the outlet’s story is completely “ridiculous.” We’re told from the spokesperson on the record that Jenner never pitched the actress a reality show, nor would she be interested in doing one. This phony story was seemingly concocted because both women attended the same birthday party for DeGeneres that also drew Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Jennifer Aniston and a slew of other stars. But Paltrow and Jenner never discussed a TV project. The magazine’s account of events is pure fiction.
It should be noted, the actress has embarked into the world of reality TV in the past, but not to document her personal life. Last year, Paltrow served as an adviser on Apple’s “Planet of the Apps,” a reality competition series in which contestants try to launch their own mobile apps. However, a reality show publicizing one’s personal life is a very different concept, and not something the actress is considering.
Additionally, this isn’t the first time that OK! has published a bogus story melding Paltrow’s personal life and career. Gossip Cop recently busted the magazine for falsely claiming Paltrow is going to profit off her wedding to Brad Falchuk, thanks to Goop sponsors. Shortly after that phony article, the tabloid wrongly reported that Martin would be walking his ex-wife down the aisle. This latest article surrounding Paltrow’s nonexistent reality show is simply more lies.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
