Kris Jenner never asked Caitlyn Jenner to return to "Keeping up with the Kardashians" to "save" the series, despite a report made one year ago today. On June 13, 2017, RadarOnline falsely claimed Kris asked her ex to appear more frequently on the E! show the following season. Gossip Cop was told at the time it was "not true," and now a full 365 days later, it's clear Caitlyn never came back to the reality program.
Exactly 12 months ago, the website maintained it had a reliable "source" who said the momager "wants to continue this drama with Caitlyn into next season" to boost the show ratings. The alleged insider also asserted Kris "approached Caitlyn about it and told her that she wants to put their differences aside for the sake of the family." The same unnamed "source" added that Caitlyn had told her ex-wife, "Show me the money," and if the cash was there, she would agree to participate more on the series.
As Gossip Cop noted last year, it seemed odd Kris would ask Caitlyn to help "save" the reality show that had already been airing for more than 10 years, especially after their difficult split. Additionally, last October the Kardashians signed a $150 million deal to extended their "KUWTK" contract for five more seasons. That's worth mentioning because clearly E! is firmly behind the series without Caitlyn being part of the deal.
The ill-will between the former couple increased last year after Caitlyn published her memoir, The Secrets of My Life, in which the one-time Olympian took aim at her ex. As a result, it seemed Kris would never speak to Caitlyn again, an assertion the momager even made during an episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." To this day, their relationship remains strained.
Last year, Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Caitlyn, who exclusively assured us RadarOnline's story was "not true." A full year has passed, and website's claims are still wrong. As we rightly reported, Kris never ask Caitlyn to "save" the show.
Of course, the website has a spotty track record when it comes to stories about Kris, Caitlyn, and "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Gossip Cop previously busted the outlet for falsely asserting the Kardashians were ending "KUWTK" over Caitlyn's book. We also corrected the site for wrongly maintaining Kris wanted to get back together with Caitlyn. A full year has passed and the blog has still not acknowledged or corrected its article that inaccurately claimed Kris asked Caitlyn to return to the reality series. We're not holding our breath for that to happen.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
