Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are still not dating, despite new speculation. Gossip Cop already debunked romance rumors about the neighbors earlier this year. Now we can exclusively shut down such untrue claims again.
Life & Style writes on its website, "Talk about an unlikely duo. Just when we thought that Kourtney Kardashian would be rebounding from her ex-boyfriend, Younes Bendjima, with her baby daddy, Scott Disick, it seems like someone else has come to the rescue." The tabloid claims Barker "recently got flirty with the mother-of-three on Instagram and now, fans can't help but speculate that the pair is dating."
The magazine is referring to an Instagram post from Sunday, where Kardashian is pictured on a bicycle. In the caption, she wrote, "Wanna [bike]?" with an emoji of a bicycle. Screengrabs show Barker commented on the post with two emojis of his own: The bike and the image of a cloud of smoke. That is all he put, but to the outlet that apparently counts as getting "flirty."
To make its argument, the publication points to subsequent comments from fans, such as one writing, "OK, when are y'all going to date?" Another said, "Hm, your kids already do playdates! You two might as well date, too!" The tabloid then brings up a RadarOnline story that Gossip Cop debunked back in March. The site claimed at the time that Kardashian and Bendjima broke up, and that she may be a "new couple" with Barker.
Both claims were false. Kardashian and Bendjima didn't split until this summer, months after that tale was peddled, and when Gossip Cop busted it, Barker's spokesperson told us the romance narrative was "100 percent not true." The rep acknowledged that the two have been friendly since they live in the same neighborhood and their kids have hung out, but their dynamic was a platonic one.
Now simply because Barker posted two non-scandalous emojis on Kardashian's Instagram, Life & Style is using these old, wrong contentions to suggest a relationship is blossoming. "Well, now that Kourt is flying solo again, maybe Travis is finally making his move," maintains the tabloid, which even editorializes, "TBH, we kinda really want to see this happen!" Of course, it doesn't matter what the magazine does or doesn't want.
And this is an outlet that less than two weeks ago claimed Kardashian dumped Bendjima to get back with Disick. That wasn't the case, and now the publication is fueling another wrong rumor. Barker's spokesperson again confirms to Gossip Cop that there is nothing romantic going on between him and the "KUWTK" star. And emojis of a bike and a dust cloud shouldn't make anyone think otherwise.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
