Kourtney Kardashian is denying that she joked about being pregnant in a new interview with Grazia magazine. The reality star took to Twitter to explain that her words were misquoted and taken out of context by the tabloid, which included a deceptive headline in a seeming attempt to dupe readers.

In the wake of Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner all expecting babies, the publication declares in a misleading headline, “Kourtney Kardashian: ‘I’m Pregnant Too!'” The accompanying article includes an interview with the reality star which claims she announced her pregnancy “with all the gravitas of a newscaster announcing World War III.” The writer doesn’t clarify until the third paragraph of the piece that Kardashian revealed she was “joking after an uncomfortably long pause,” but the reality star insists that’s not how the conversation panned out.

“I see online that I said I was pregnant in an interview, but that was completely taken out of context,” Kardashian tweeted shortly after the interview was published. “The interviewer asked me ‘What’s a crazy rumor that you’ve heard about yourself?’ and my answer was… ‘I’ve heard that I am pregnant.'” So not only did Grazia try to pass off a supposed “joke” as a revelation, but Kardashian maintains she never joked about being pregnant in the first place. The magazine changed the words “I’ve heard that I am pregnant” into “I’m pregnant,” which are two very different statements. Quite simply, Kardashian isn’t pregnant and she never said she was.

In fact, Gossip Cop called out Life & Style earlier this month for wrongly reporting Kardashian was pregnant with boyfriend Younes Bendjima’s baby. Shortly before that fabrication, we busted OK! for falsely claiming Kardashian said she wants a baby with her boyfriend. It seems Grazia is simply attempting to stir the pot by both misquoting the reality star and taking her comments out of context.
