Kourtney Kardashian refuses to give her kids candy or dessert, according to a provably wrong tabloid story. Gossip Cop can debunk the untrue report. While the article tries to make the mother of three seem cruel and too health conscious, the claims are easily disproven.

According to Star, Kardashian is “passing along her nutty nutritional habits to her kids,” Mason, Penelope and Reign. It’s specifically claimed the mom of three “refuses to give in to their gimme-gimmes, instead telling her tots to ‘indulge’ in celery and hummus instead of chips and candy.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “She flips her lid if Scott [Disick] gives them treats she hasn’t approved of.”

While the gossip magazine acknowledges that it’s “commendable” Kardashian is “building healthy habits” with her children, it’s alleged that “even Kourtney’s family is telling her to sweeten up.” Claims the supposed insider, “Kim [Kardashian] says she’s going overboard and needs to chill. But Kourtney isn’t budging. She hasn’t given her poor kids a decent dessert in months.” The outlet concludes, “An apple a day keeps mom’s temper away.”

But although it’s true Kardashian prefers healthy eating, she subscribes to moderation, not deprivation, for both herself and her kids. Last summer, for example, Kardashian and her children were seen all eating ice cream together while on vacation in Nantucket. And in 2016, the tabloid’s own sister outlet, OK!, posted photos online of Kardashian and her kids as they ate candy during an outing. It was even noted at the time that Mason and Reign were “snacking on sugar.”

Furthermore, this week Kardashian did a blog post all about eating ice cream and relaxing her diet habits for “moderation.” As Kardashian posted on Twitter on Thursday about her approach, “Yolo… You gotta live your life!” It’s abundantly evident that Kardashian hasn’t banned dessert and candy from her or her kids’ lives, contrary to the magazine’s claims.

It’s also worth mentioning this outlet has a less than stellar track record when it comes to accurately reporting on the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star. Last June, the publication claimed Kardashian was warning Disick to “stay away” from their kids and even asserted she was “contemplating legal action.” Not only did Gossip Cop bust that false story at the time, but we were proven right just weeks later when they jointly took the aforementioned trip to Nantucket with their children. It’s clearly long past time Star just stayed away from writing about the family.
