Did Kourtney Kardashian really warn Jennifer Lawrence to stay away from Scott Disick? One of the tabloids is trying to create a love triangle between the Oscar-winning actress and reality stars, but Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can exclusively set the record straight.

In a recent interview with Oprah for The Hollywood Reporter, Lawrence revealed that Disick would be one of three celebrities she’d invite to her dream dinner party. The Australian version of OK! has now twisted this premise to claim that Kardashian is enraged by the actress “lusting over” her ex.

“Kourtney Warns J. Law: Stay Away From Scott!” reads a headline in the latest issue of the magazine. But the sensational headline is a bait-and-switch, as the accompanying article doesn’t suggest that the reality star and actress have ever actually met, let alone had a confrontation. The outlet merely speculates that Lawrence’s revelation is “
sure to annoy” Kardashian. This baseless conjecture, however, doesn’t come from any source.

Of course, there’s little logic to any of this. For starters, Kardashian is currently dating male model Younes Bendjima, and she has no desire to reunite with her ex. The tabloid’s contention that she’d be angry about Lawrence choosing Disick as the invitee to an imaginary dinner party doesn’t make sense. Also, this hypothetical scenario isn’t romantic, despite the magazine’s suggestion otherwise. Lawrence, a reality TV superfan, chose two of the Real Housewives as her other dinner guests.

Regardless of the publication’s story being both theoretical and deceptive, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us that Kardashian wasn’t bothered by Lawrence’s comment about her ex. In fact, we’ve heard the Kardashian-Jenner family is delighted that the actress is such a big fan of their show. Unfortunately, the American version of OK! frequently publishes lies about all involved in this bogus article, so we’re not shocked that the Australian edition would follow suit.
