Did Kirsten Dunst’s fiance, Jesse Plemons, really skip the premiere of her new movie to avoid answering questions about their wedding plans? One of this week’s new tabloids claims the actor is unenthusiastic about his upcoming nuptials, but Gossip Cop looked into the story and we’ve exclusively learned the truth.

The couple, who met while filming the second season of “Fargo” in 2015, announced their engagement earlier this year. An article in the latest issue of OK! notes that Plemons was absent from the red carpet at last month’s premiere of Dunst’s film Woodshock, and says it’s because he’s tired of being pressed about their future wedding. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “He didn’t want to be asked a ton of questions about how planning is going, so he skipped the event.”

The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to say Plemons isn’t rushing to walk down the aisle just yet, but his wife-to-be is pestering him to set a date. “Jesse is witnessing a much pushier side of Kirsten, and he’s backing away a bit,” adds the supposed source. However, the magazine’s report is inaccurate on a number of levels. A rep for Dunst tells us her fiance did in fact attend the premiere of Woodshock, he just didn’t walk the red carpet. We’re told the actor was there to support his fiancee, not to do press, and the tabloid is simply “making up the entire story.” The claim that he’s cooling off on their plans to get married is also completely untrue.

This phony article is coming from the same publication that alleged Dunst had a “shocking breakdown” on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in May. But the report was completely sensationalized, as the actress merely teared up with happy emotions while premiering her film at the prestigious event. This latest story about the actress and her fiance is equally bogus.
