Kim Kardashian is not nor was ever "in love" with motivational speaker Tony Robbins, despite a report from one year ago today. On June 17, 2017, Gossip Cop debunked a tabloid story that falsely claimed Kardashian's marriage to Kanye West was "rocky" and that she "found refuge" with Robbins. A full 365 days have passed, and the claim is as untrue now as it was then.
Last year, OK! alleged Kardashian brought her husband to one of Robbins's motivational speeches "only to ignore him and focus on the guru himself." The magazine quoted an alleged "insider" as saying, "Kim's a life-long fan of Tony. She's read all his books and watched all his motivational videos, but nothing could prepare her for the man in person." "Kim's had such a mad crush on Tony for so long she actually started welling up in tears," added the supposed source.
The outlet's tipster further maintained West was angry and "embarrassed" by his wife's behavior. "He's never seen her like this," said the tabloid's so-called "insider," who compared Kardashian to a "star-struck Beatles fan." The purported source went on to contend, "Kim thinks Tony's 'God' and literally hung off every word. She's crazy about him."
It should be noted that Kardashian and West went to Robbins's Los Angeles seminar in March 2017; the magazine then seemingly took three months to come up with its concocted narrative; and the reality star and the motivational speaker haven't been linked in the 15 months since then. Also, it's not like Kardashian and West went alone, looking for relationship help. They were joined by joined by her sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.
More significantly, Kardashian and West's marriage is not in trouble or "rocky," as OK! continued to claim. Not only has her rep repeatedly shot down untrue stories about the couple having problems, but also just three weeks ago, Kardashian expressed her love for West on Twitter while celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary. And while the reality star is a fan of the motivational speaks, Kardashian is far from "in love" with Robbins, who's been married to his wife, Sage, since 2001.
As Gossip Cop has previously remarked, time always betrays phony celebrity stories because the truth eventually comes out. In this case, it should be abundantly clear 12 months after the tabloid's article that Kardashian hasn't "found refuge" with or fallen for Robbins. Also glaring is that the magazine has never corrected or updated its wrong report.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
