Did Kim Kardashian go on an "insane shopping spree" after signing a new deal for "Keeping Up with the Kardashians"? That's the claim coming from a webloid, but there's no evidence to substantiate the report. What's more is a rep exlusively tells Gossip Cop the allegation just isn't true.
It was recently reported the Kardashian-Jenners signed a new deal with E! worth a whopping $150 million. Now in the wake of that, RadarOnline is announcing in a headline, "Kashing In! Kim & Kanye Go On INSANE Shopping Spree After Signing Million Dollar Deal." According to the accompanying aticle, "The ink hasn't dried on the new big money deal to continue 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' for another five seasons, but Kim and Kanye West are already blowing those lucrative paychecks."
"They've always been cavalier about their spending, but this is getting outrageous," a so-called "insider" is quoted as saying. "Kim dropped more $50 thousand on new designer dresses and accessories, and close to a million on new hand stitched bedding for their bedroom." Read that again: The site's supposed source wants readers to believe Kardashian spent nearly $1 MILLION on bedding. But that's not all.
The outlet's alleged tipster further claims that Kardashian, who is awaiting the birth of her third child via surrogate, "decided she wanted all new fixtures in their home, which will set them back a few thousand," and is "re-thinking the new baby's nursery now," too. And, contends the purported snitch, "She's still buying really expensive jewelry even though she won't flaunt it in public or social media." Read that again: Readers are supposed to believe Kardashian is buying expensive jewels, even though she won't wear them outside her home. As for West, the publication's "insider" asserts he's "no better," because "he's bought himself a new Rolex watch and is shopping for a new Rolls Royce."
Of course, the webloid has no pictures of the rapper with this new watch, and conveniently, or perhaps suspiciously, the other mentioned items would all be inside the couple's home. In other words, there's no way for the site to prove Kardashian really went on this "spending spree," unless one had a legitimate insider. And while the website hides behind an unnamed and untraceable "source," Kardashian's own rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop on the record that the contentions are simply "false," even though the reality star had every right to buy whatever she wants with her own money. Additionally, West's rep assures Gossip Cop the story is entirely untrue. And considering that just days ago RadarOnline was caught outright lying about Kardashian's birthday party, objectively readers should have no reason to believe the outlet has any true insight at all.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
