Kim Kardashian‘s marriage has not been “rocked” by a “sex-swap scandal” involving Kanye West, despite a report from the tabloids. Gossip Cop can bust this sensational and salacious story.
As Gossip Cop reported, unsubstantiated rumors last month linked West to transgender model Amanda Lepore, who wrote in a new book about hooking up with a rapper, who later married a woman with a “similar body type.” A few outlets, like MediaTakeOut, jumped to the conclusion that the man in question was West. A rep for the performer, however, denied the speculation.
Now Star is trying to capitalize on the debunked claim by turning it into a “scandal” and asserting in its new issue that West may have “had an affair with a transgender model.” A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Kim was in such a good place, and then this hit her like a bolt from the blue. It doesn’t matter that it’s just a crazy rumor; having to deal with it all has to be painful.”
“Dealing with this brush fire had to be devastating for Kim and her family,” the tabloid’s supposed snitch speculates. “The rumor doesn’t even needs to be true; just having it circulate was a total embarrassment.” But this alleged tipster seems to just be guessing, like when the “source” asserts, “As for West, the rap world is a particularly macho one; can you imagine how he’s being dissed over this by his buddies?”
A real insider wouldn’t have to “imagine,” nor would a real insider say phrases like this “has to cut a little a bit,” “has to be painful,” and “had to be devastating.” A real “source” would know exactly what’s going on and what the feelings are. What’s also galling is the gossip magazine ends its piece with the purported tipster saying Kardashian and West need to “keep a positive outlook” and “focus” on only “happy news.”
Then why did Star publish something that’s both negative and untrue? The outlet tries to justify its story by writing that “no matter the legitimacy of the rumors, it’s easy to see why [there was] so many people guessing that [Lepore] was talking about Kim and Kanye.” But that defense doesn’t hold up. Given that the speculation was debunked a week and a half before this article was published, it’s obvious the publication just wanted to regurgitate the false claims to give them new life.
And contrary to the spin that the couple’s marriage was “rocked,” Gossip Cop can confirm that’s not actually the case. The allegations were strongly denied within hours, and the rumors were then quickly dead and buried. There is no ongoing “scandal.” But Star, the same outlet that falsely claimed Kardashian’s Paris robbery was a hoax, just wanted to spread fiction over fact, as usual.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
