A new story that alleges Kim Kardashian is suddenly “heartbroken” over Ryan Seacrest’s harassment scandal is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can expose this fabricated story, which was solely manufactured to capitalize on the controversy surrounding Seacrest doing red carpet duties for E! at the Oscars on Sunday after being accused on sexual misconduct by his former stylist Suzie Hardy. We’re assured no one in Kardashian’s camp shared this false claim.

The tale was concocted by the serial fibbers at HollywoodLife, a site that’s been known to publish fake news about the reality star. In its curiously timed article, the blog maintains, “Kardashian is feeling upset over the alleged sexual misconduct allegations against her friend.” A so-called “source close to Kim” is quoted as telling the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies that the reality star is “heartbroken over the horrible details of the sexual assault allegations about Ryan.” “It is hard for her to hear these bad things about him,” continues the purported insider, who supposedly adds, “It hurts Kim to hear these things and she can’t believe any of it.”

Of course, Hardy’s claims came out a long time ago. It’s not like Kardashian just heard the accusations and is now out-of-the-blue “upset” and “heartbroken” for Seacrest, who the blog acknowledges is her “friend,” as well as the executive producer of “Keeping Up With Kardashians.” In November, Seacrest denied his former stylist’s misconduct allegations, noting at the time, “I dispute these reckless allegations and I plan to cooperate with any corporate inquiries that may result.” Subsequently, there was an investigation by E! and the TV personality was cleared.

The reality is Kardashian has known about Hardy’s claims and stood by Seacrest for months on end. In fact, Seacrest shared an Instagram photo of himself and Kardashian smiling together at Kris Jenner’s annual Christmas Eve party, well after the allegations came out. Of course, HollywoodLies tips its hand as to the motivation for its latest fabricated article when it writes that there’s been “controversy on whether or not Ryan should be allowed to be a part of the red carpet interviews at the 2018 Oscars.”

Still, Gossip Cop fact-checked the outlet’s report and an actual Kardashian insider was disgusted that HollywoodLies tried to insert the reality star into the “scandal” just hours before the start of the Academy Awards. Sadly, we’re not surprised by this tactic since HollywoodLife has a reputation for publishing fake news tied to real events, including Kardashian supposedly buying Meghan Markle a diamond gift to score a royal wedding invite. Much like that absurd fabrication and many others by the often debunked site, the latest article injecting Kardashian into Seacrest’s controversy is entirely made-up.
