Kim Kardashian did not have a rib removed surgically so that she could appear thinner, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We're told it's "false."
According to Star, Kardashian "refused to give birth to her third child in order to hold on to her hourglass figure," so it should be no surprise, contends the outlet, that she's "undergone rib removal surgery to achieve that waif-like waistline." An ill-informed or more likely fabricated source is quoted by the often discredited tabloid as saying, "There's no end to Kim's quest for perfection." The same seemingly fake "insider" further maintains, "Kim clearly enjoys the results," before adding, "The procedure has given her the whittled middle she's alway wanted and considers it well worth the time and money spent."
Right off the bat, it's clear the magazine either knows absolutely nothing about Kardashian or has no problem publishing blatant falsehoods. The reality star didn't refuse to carry her third child "in order to hold on to her hourglass figure." Kardashian and Kanye hired a surrogate because she was warned by her doctors about the health risks associated with getting pregnant again. As widely reported, while carrying Saint, Kardashian suffered from a very serious condition called placenta accreta, which causes the placenta to grow into the uterine wall. In certain circumstances, following a C-section delivery, a woman may have to undergo a hysterectomy.
So now that it's been established that the magazine made up its story, let's still explore some of its claims. Curiously, while the tabloid asserts Kardashians feels the alleged rib removal was "well worth the time and money spent," it doesn't mention when or where she supposedly had the procedure or how much it purportedly cost. Naturally, an operation like that would require quite a bit of recuperation time, yet Kardashian has been seen out and about with little interruption for about the last decade and a half.
Oh wait, maybe the rib removal took place when Kardashian filed her $1 billion divorce from Kanye West in February 2016. Or maybe the procedure coincided when Kardashian announced her $1 billion divorce from West two weeks ago in December 2017. Or more likely, Star has a track record for publishing fake news about the reality star and the rib surgery article is just another example. Unlike the website's untraceable "source," Kardashian's rep tells Gossip Cop the story and premise are entirely "false."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
