A story claiming Kim Kardashian and her sisters had a “pact” to not discuss Caitlyn Jenner publicly is false. Gossip Cop can separate the fact from the fiction.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Caitlyn’s new memoir, The Secrets Of My Life, is making waves for its portions about Kris Jenner. In the book, Caitlyn maintains that her ex-wife knew she wanted to transition early in the relationship. She also discusses Kris’ former husband, Robert Kardashian, representing O.J. Simpson at his murder trial. As seen on last week’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Kris is not happy about Caitlyn’s memoir, and the Kardashians aren’t either.

Now according to In Touch, Kim and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney are so upset about the book that they’re going back on an agreement they made to not speak about Caitlyn in the media. “The Kardashians had a pact not to talk publicly about Caitlyn out of respect for Kendall and Kylie, but that’s going to change now,” a so-called “family insider” is quoted as telling the tabloid. The supposed source adds to the outlet, “They are livid over Caitlyn’s book, and they’re not going to stay silent any longer.”

But these allegations ring untrue. The Kardashians haven’t stayed “silent” about Caitlyn in the wake of her transition. The siblings have been discussing her in a number of interviews, including in magazines, on talk shows, and during the morning news shows, for nearly two years now. And, as Gossip Cop noted, Kim appears on Thursday’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” where she candidly opens up about the state of her relationship with Caitlyn.

Kim didn’t break any “pact” by doing so, as she had already spoken at length about Caitlyn in the past. She and her sisters might’ve chosen their words carefully so as not to hurt Kendall and Kylie, but they haven’t been shy about discussing the impact, good and bad, of Caitlyn’s transition, as well as the highs and lows of their relationship with her. So it’s no sudden change, in the wake of the book, for the family to air out their feelings now. And although the picture painted here by In Touch is obviously inaccurate, as proven by the plethora of past interviews, Gossip Cop still checked in with a rep for Kim, who exclusively tells us it’s “false” there was any kind of an agreement to not talk about Caitlyn.
