Kim Kardashian did not "tell all" on her supposedly "crumbling marriage" to Kanye West, contrary to a report. This article sensationally and misleadingly twists a new interview with the reality star. But Gossip Cop can set the record straight.
On Monday, Allure released its October cover story, in which Kardashian speaks about how her life has changed since being robbed at gunpoint nearly a year ago, and the importance of not spoiling her children. She shares how she no longer likes receiving presents and prefers to have more quiet moments. As such, she and West did not exchange anniversary gifts back in May, and they privately marked the milestone in the simplest of ways. She's quoted as saying, "We don't do gifts. [We] talk about it all the time, about not getting too much and trying to be as grounded and well rounded as possible. I don't like presents anymore. We just did absolutely nothing [for the anniversary]. We spent two days in Santa Barbara, and we slept. You know what? I think we went to IHOP. That's what we did."
RadarOnline decided to take those quotes and spin them this way: "TROUBLE IN PARADISE? Kim On Crumbling Marriage To Kanye: 'We Did Absolutely Nothing' For Our Anniversary." But Kardashian did not say anything about a "crumbling marriage," nor did she even hint at "trouble in paradise." And while the webloid calls it a "tell-all interview," the article is actually rather benign. Still, the deceptive site maintains, "The news comes amid the couple's intense backlash over their allegedly plummeting relationship." And the outlet actually regurgitates Kardashian's statement about not liking to get gifts anymore, and asks, "Could it be she is just trying to cover up a deeper issue inside her marriage with West?"
No. Kardashian is just indicating how her interests and priorities have changed, just as she's done in other post-robbery interviews. And no matter what she said, the online publication would've still tried to negatively connect it to her marriage to West. Plus, if the couple did have some huge celebration for their anniversary, the webloid would've likely claimed they were only doing so "cover up" marital problems. Whether they go big or go small, Kardashian and West can't win. The site is determined to paint them as on the brink of divorce regardless. But no matter how it's presented, the fact remains that Kardashian did not "tell all" about a "crumbling marriage," period.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
