Kim Kardashian may be "nervous" about her surrogate's upcoming birth, but Gossip Cop is told that nobody close to her shared that with HollywoodLife. Rather, it seems the webloid was inspired to concoct this fake news story because of relatively recent comments made by the reality star.
The site is claiming it "EXCLUSIVELY" learned Kardashian is "feeling helpless with the process of using a surrogate for her third pregnancy," and is "anxious about having the pregnancy out of her hands." A so-called "source," who oddly uses the star's first name in every single sentence, is quoted as saying, "Kim is nervous about her surrogate birthing her baby. Kim has never felt more powerless and not in control of a situation." Unnaturally repeating "Kim" over and over, this supposed snitch goes on to basically express the same feelings in different ways. It all boils down to Kardashian feeling "anxious" about the "process" because she herself isn't the one pregnant.
That's not an unique insight or an original scoop. Kardashian already spoke about this aspect of surrogacy in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" almost exactly a month ago, saying pretty much what the site's alleged tipster asserts. "I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control," she told the outlet, going on to say, "Knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it's hard for me. So, it's definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area."
"That inner struggle is kind of hard, but I am just rolling with it and it is what it is," Kardashian further acknowledged, adding, "But it is still a process that you need to digest. Even the fact that it is happening — and you do forget sometimes, because I think when you are pregnant, by the time you have the baby, you are so prepared and so ready, and now I am just like, 'Oh my God I am going to freak out because I'm not ready and I'm not prepared,' but it'll just all come into place."
Looking at Kardashian's comments from a few weeks ago, it becomes apparent that HollywoodLies, as it's nicknamed, merely manufactured an "exclusive" expressing the same sentiments. It was real news when the "KUWTK" star made the remarks. It is fake news now that a purported "source" is supposedly saying the same things to the blog. That's clear for several reasons.
First off, as noted above, the strange construction of the site's quotes suggest that no real person actually said them. Secondly, there'd be no need for an anonymous person to go to the webloid to repeat something Kardashian herself already said. And thirdly, for six months now the online publication has proven its "exclusives" on the mom of two expanding her family are illegitimate and often inaccurate, showing that its "sources" don't actually exist. For example, in June the outlet wrongly claimed the surrogate was pregnant with twins. Then in November, HollywoodLies said it was just one baby but that Kardashian didn't know the gender.
At that point, it was already well-known that she was expecting a girl. So, after being wrong about twins and wrong about the sex, the blog is only seemingly right here about Kardashian's surrogacy concerns because it is copying what she already said (see video below). An inauthentic and disingenuous article is just as bad as an inaccurate one.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
