Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are not filing a “mid-nuptial agreement” to protect her assets as his “pricey lawsuits pile up,” despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s entirely wrong.
According to RadarOnline, West and Kardashian are “drawing up a mid-nuptial agreement… to give Kim some protection from Kanye’s topsy-turvy finances.” A source is quoted as saying, “He’s making all kinds of deals right now that are very high stakes, and Kim’s nervous.” While the website acknowledges they already have “an arrangement in place,” it contends Kardashian wants to safeguard her and her kids’ assets if West “goes under financially.”
After noting how West is suing Lloyd’s Of London for not paying him $10 million for his canceled Saint Pablo Tour concerts following his mental breakdown, the website’s supposed “insider” alleges, “Kim’s worried sick about Kanye’s current situation, which has incurred millions in legal fees already, and is only getting more expensive and complicated.” “She wants to protect herself,” adds the questionable “insider.”
Of course, unless West and Kardashian are involved in a joint business venture, which the concerts were not, she is not legally liable for any of his financial obligations, so there’s no need to create a “mid-nuptial agreement.” The separation of their assets, as noted by the outlet itself, is already “in place,” and therefore there’s no need for her now to suddenly “protect herself.” Still, Gossip Cop checked in with Kardashian’s rep, who assures us the latest manufactured story is “false.”
If talk about Kardashian and West getting a “mid-nuptial agreement” sounds familiar it’s because the same disproven outlet tried (and failed) with this tactic more than a year ago. In a wholly fabricated story from June 2016, RadarOnline swore up and down that Kardashian had finalized a divorce agreement from West. As Gossip Cop said then, and time has once again proven us right, that was a total lie. But in that made-up report, the site once again quoted a so-called “insider” as saying, “They’ve figured out a mid-nuptial agreement, where Kim gets primary custody of the kids and Kanye holds onto most of his cash.”
To recap, the website previously claimed 14 months ago that they “figured out a mid-nuptial agreement,” so why would they need one now? The truth is Kardashian and West worked out their finances long before the blog began making up stories about the couple divorcing or Kardashian being “worried sick” and “nervous” about West’s money issues. It’s time the site stops concocting “mid-nuptial” agreement stories and starts reporting the full truth.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
