Kim Kardashian and Kanye West never launched their own “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” spinoff, despite a claim last year about the couple pitching a new reality show called “Meet The Wests.” Gossip Cop busted the untrue rumor 12 months ago. Now it’s clear our reporting was correct.

On August 16, 2017, we called out Closer for falsely claiming Kardashian was pitching a reality series that would focus on her, West, their two children North and Saint, and the twins they supposedly had on the way. The idea allegedly stemmed from Kardashian’s jealousy over the attention Beyonce was receiving for her twins, who were born two months prior. “Kim finds it frustrating watching Beyonce at the center of the publicity her twins have brought her,” a so-called “source” was quoted as saying.

It was said Kardashian wanted her own kids, including the alleged new babies, to be “the biggest child stars in the A-list world,” and this purported TV project was part of the plan to make that happen. The tabloid’s untraceable tipster claimed Kardashian “told Kanye she’ll replicate her ‘momager’ Kris Jenner by managing the family,” and further asserted she was already “in talks with TV networks.” Maintained the questionable snitch, “She wants to start as soon as possible so they can maximize their star potential.”

While the story appeared in the magazine’s print edition, RadarOnline spread it online with the headline, “Fame-Hungry: Kim Kardashian Pushing Her Twins Into Reality TV Stardom — Before They’re Even Born!” According to the site, Kardashian’s surrogate was “expecting two new Kardashians,” and once they arrived, they would join their siblings and famous parents on the new reality show. This was doubly wrong.

As Gossip Cop reported 365 days ago, Kardashian was not pitching “Meet the Wests,” her spokesperson confirmed to us, and she had no intention of doing a “KUWTK” spinoff focused on the West family. In fact, a few months after this, Kardashian and her siblings renewed a deal with E! to keep their flagship show on the air for several more reasons. Season 15 of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” premiered earlier this month, and season 16 should start shooting in a few weeks. At no point has anything been legitimately reported about a new show about Kardashian, West and their children.

Of course, the second reason why it’s now abundantly apparent these contentions were bogus is because the couple was never expecting twins. Their surrogate was actually carrying just one child, and Kardashian accidentally revealed the gender of baby No. 3 during an appearance on “Ellen” last November. Two months later, daughter Chicago was born. Since North and Saint occasionally appear on “KUWTK,” it’s likely their little sister will be seen on the program, too. But fans shouldn’t expect “Meet The Wests” to kick off any time soon, if ever.
