Is Kris Jenner forbidding Kim Kardashian from moving to Wyoming with Kanye West and their kids? That's the claim being made in a tabloid this week. Gossip Cop looked into the story and we can correct it.
According to In Touch, Kardashian is thinking about making a permanent move to Wyoming with her husband and four kids following the rapper's purchase of a $14 million ranch in the state. The magazine goes on to say that Jenner isn't happy because it would mean her daughter would have to quit Keeping Up With The Kardashians. A so-called "source" is quoted as telling the magazine that Kardashian's mom and manger is "doing everything in her power to make sure Kim doesn't walk away from the show," even telling her point blank, "You can't quit!"
To back up its story, the outlet pulls a quote from Kardashian's recent appearance on The Tonight Show, during which she called Wyoming "the prettiest place you've ever seen in your life." The magazine, however, conveniently leaves out the rest of the reality star's quote. After telling Jimmy Fallon that West bought a ranch in Wyoming, she also made a point of noting, "I love LA," and that she only envisions "summers" and "some weekends" in Wyoming. Kardashian made it very clear that the ranch is not becoming her permanent home.
Meanwhile, Season 17 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered this month and filming for Season 18 is already underway. Kardashian mentioned in her Tonight Show interview how excited she is for both. Also, let's say Kardashian actually wanted to move to Wyoming full-time, she could conceivably bring TV cameras with her, so she wouldn't even have to quit her family's reality show. It might actually make for a great storyline. The outlet ridiculous article was invented based on West's recent real estate purchase and an out-of-context quote.
This isn't the first time In Touch has come up with a phony story about a "move" causing problems in the Kardashian family. In September 2018, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Kardashian was divorcing West for moving to Chicago. The rapper owns property in Chicago, but he hasn't moved there, and Kardashian never divorced him over an imaginary scenario.
Additionally, Gossip Cop called out In Touch last year for wrongly reporting Kardashian would divorce West after their fourth baby arrived. The couple's fourth child, a son named Psalm, was born on May 10 and predictably, the reality star hasn't left her husband. Instead, the happy spouses will be spending their summers and weekends in Wyoming.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
