Is Kim Kardashian really worried Kanye West will leave her for Erica Jardim? A report claims the reality star feels threatened by her husband's working relationship with the model. Gossip Cop looked into the story.
"Kanye Obsessed With His Muse," reads a headline in the latest edition of Life & Style. According to the tabloid, Kardashian is "worried" West is "having beautiful, dark, twisted fantasies" about Jardim, who appeared in his Yeezy Season 6 campaign. A so-called "source" claims West is "obsessed" with Jardim's body because she's "super fit but also voluptuous."
That's supposedly affecting how Kardashian looks at herself. "She's become fixated with perfecting her body and seems to be modeling it after Kanye's muse," alleges the untraceable snitch. The outlet's tipster adds, "The thought of Kanye leaving her for another woman is Kim's worst nightmare." Well, that's certainly a big change from three months ago, when this same publication published a cover story contending Kardashian was planning to divorce West.
In that article, a similarly unnamed "source" maintained, "Kim is in talks with lawyers about getting a divorce." An equally anonymous "insider" asserted, "She can't take it anymore." And the magazine itself insisted Kardashian was at a "breaking point" and wanted a "clean break" from the rapper. Yet now this new story is all about her supposedly being desperate to please him out of fear he'll leave her.
The tabloid never explains what happened to the purported divorce plans, or why the tables have seemingly turned. That's not the only reason why this article is flawed. West's Yeezy Season 6 campaign was first released at the end of January. Six months have gone by, and now suddenly Kardashian is concerned about his dynamic with Jardim? The magazine also seems to undermine its own premise when it points out that "Kanye had Erica creepily dress up" like Kardashian for the campaign.
Actually, West had all of his models copy Kardashian's look for the campaign. That just goes to show that his wife remains his inspiration. And given that West and Jardim have no known connection beyond this one project, it's absurd to suggest she has replaced Kardashian as his "muse." Similarly, though Kardashian has been under fire lately for celebrating her low weight, there is zero indication that jealousy over Jardim has been her motivation for slimming down.
What's also striking is how reminiscent this narrative is of another recent gossip story. Just last week, the Mirror branded Teyana Taylor West's "other woman," and claimed Kardashian was "concerned about her hubby's friendship" with her. Gossip Cop busted that poorly manufactured piece, and now it's almost as if Taylor was subbed out for Jardim in this latest article, which boasts a suspiciously similar premise. The facts just don't support it.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
