Kim Kardashian and Kanye West did not have "delivery room drama" with their surrogate. Gossip Cop can correct a factually wrong report from a British tabloid.

"For a couple who like to have as much control as Kim and Kanye, watching someone else give birth to your child was always going to be tough," begins a story in Heat, "and Kimye have found the lack of involvement a challenge." A so-called "insider" is quoted as saying, "The surrogate has done things her way. That was how everything was agreed up front."

The gossip magazine's supposed source continues, "While they aren't arguing about it, Kim and Kanye have privately found it a struggle not being able to put their own touches on the delivery." The alleged tipster specifically contends the couple "both wanted to witness the birth, but the surrogate wasn't as keen." In addition, the publication asserts the parents "also wanted the Kardashian family doctor to deliver the baby, but the surrogate refused."

"He's the doctor who delivered North and Saint, as well as her sisters," explains the publication's purported snitch. "But it's simply not up to her and there's nothing she can do about it." Yet almost all of this tale is entirely erroneous. While Kardashian has spoken candidly about surrogacy being "hard" because she's not the one in "control" of the pregnancy, she and West were quite involved along the way. In fact, contrary to the assertion that "the surrogate has done things her way," there was actually a contract that stipulated she had to adhere to the couple's preferences.

And, as first reported by TMZ, both Kardashian and West were in the delivery room for the birth. Not only that, but it was indeed the Kardashian family OB-GYN, Dr. Paul Crane, who brought their new bundle of joy into the world. In other words, the tabloid's contentions about Kardashian and West not being present and their preferred doctor not being used are 100 percent untrue.

Furthermore, far from there being "drama" between them, Kardashian has spent the week praising the surrogate. "We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give," the reality star wrote on her website on Tuesday. And in another post on Thursday, Kardashian said, "I absolutely love my gestational carrier and this was the best experience I've ever had."

She went on, "Having a gestational carrier was so special for us and she made our dreams of expanding our family come true." It's a shame Heat manufactured a negative, and inaccurate, spin.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
