A new report claiming Kim Kardashian has "distanced herself" because she's "jealous" of her youngest sister Kylie Jenner is both late and wrong. If anything, Kardashian couldn't be prouder of the makeup mogul. In fact, the reality star herself has repeatedly noted how close they are and often praises Jenner's success.
According to In Touch, which picked up its story from Life & Style, Kardashian is "jealous" of Kylie's success. And what "sparked the feud" between the two siblings was Forbes putting Jenner on its cover for building a $900 million fortune and predicting she would become the "youngest-ever self-made billionaire." The tabloids contend Kardashian "pretty much lost it" after that happened and has "distanced herself" from Jenner.
To bolster its premise, the magazine quotes a so-called "insider" as maintaining Kardashian is "incredibly bitter" Jenner is "outshining" her. The unnamed and untraceable source further asserts that without her initially leading the way for the other Kardashians and Jenners, they would be nothing more that "just another middle-class family from Calabasas. "She takes all the credit for turning them into the most famous reality stars in the world," adds the alleged "insider." Meanwhile, Jenner supposedly just thinks Kardashian and her other siblings are simply "jealous" of her wealth.
Of course, it wasn't true when Life & Style first printed the falsehood, and it's no more accurate days later when regurgitated by its sister publication. As Gossip Cop previously noted, Kardashian was quick to tweet "congrats" to Jenner when her Forbes cover hit newsstands. And she followed up with a second tweet that exclaimed in capital letters, "BILLION DOLLAR BABY." Far from thinking her sisters are "jealous" of her, an appreciative Jenner responded to Kardashian's messages with a tweet that read, "Love you," along with two heart emojis.
Actually, the tabloids have been pushing this false narrative for years, but the two have remained supportive of one another. Kardashian even previously addressed the rivalry rumors, writing on her app, "Kylie and I laugh so hard at this all the time, because people always want to pit us against each other, thinking we have similar careers." She continued, "There's no one else I would want to be in the same business with than my sister."
The tabloid that manufactured this new article made the same claim about Kardashian being "jealous" of Jenner nearly a year ago when it first emerged how the makeup mogul's company was on track to earn $1 billion. It appears every time there's a story about Jenner's accomplishments, the magazines decide to pit her against Kardashian. And while the publications assert there's a rivalry, invariably based on an unidentifiable and possibly nonexistent "insider," Kardashian and Jenner themselves have dismissed the wrong reports on the record. At this point, irrespective of how late the tales are about the sisters feuding, they're just plain wrong.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
