Kim Kardashian still hasn’t fired Kris Jenner as her manager, despite a report from early 2017 that claimed she was “phasing out” the “momager.” Gossip Cop busted the story 12 months ago, and it remains untrue today.

Last January, RadarOnline announced in a headline, “A New Kim! Kardashian Plans Image Overhaul & Cuts Out Kris.” The webloid alleged the reality star wanted to “take control of her image and career,” and that she supposedly started to do so by embracing a “drastically different look” that Jenner “did not sign off on.” The site maintained Kardashian was holding ill will against her mother for “parading” her around “like a prize” but being MIA “on the night of her fateful robbery.”

“Kim seems to be thinking that Kris used her to get her where she is today. She will never think of her mother the same way again,” a so-called “source” was quoted as saying. The outlet’s supposed snitch further claimed Kardashian had “hired a transition team to make sure that she gives off a different image than she did previously.” Added the purported tipster, “And part of this process includes phasing out her mother’s management.”

At the time, a rep for Kardashian told Gossip Cop the claims were “absurd,” and confirmed the story was false. Indeed, time has proven the allegations were entirely off-base. The mother-daughter duo continue working together on many projects, and Jenner enthusiastically posted on Twitter last month about Kardashian’s latest TV show, the upcoming “Glam Masters.” Clearly the momager was never being “phased out.”

And after falsely claiming Kardashian was firing Jenner in January, the online publication peddled another wrong report about the “KUWTK” star’s team in November. The blog had an alleged “insider” contending Kardashian was going to “hire a political publicist” and Kanye West was “heading up the search.” As part of the narrative, it was asserted she was “ready to revamp her reputation” and “seem more political.”

But as we rightly said then, Kardashian had no intention of hiring a “new team” to give her a “political image.” The only change she made was adding a beauty PR firm to help promote KKW beauty. Again RadarOnline was incorrect. We expect that to be the case quite a few more times in 2018.
