Is Kim Kardashian at "war" with Kourtney Kardashian over her entourage? A new report claims the sisters are feuding over stylists and more associates. Gossip Cop, however, can point out some serious flaws in the article, which isn't true.
"Kopycat Kourtney! Kim Ignites WAR With 'Jealous' Sister For Stealing Her Entourage," RadarOnline is blaring in a headline. According to the accompanying story, "the Kardashian siblings are at war after the eldest sister is honing in on Kimmy's elite entourage," and Kim "has had it." A so-called "insider" is quoted as saying, "Kourt keeps stealing away friends, makeup and hair people, stylists and other members of her inner circle. Kim's entourage is dwindling and a lot of them are now hanging out at Kourtney's house."
The webloid's supposed source goes on to allege, "It's hard to find a good makeup artist or stylist and once they've settled in, Kim notices Kourtney befriending them." The first example given is Jonathan Cheban, even though he's neither a makeup artist nor a stylist. Contends the purported snitch, "[Kourtney] did the same thing with Kim's BFF Jonathan — Kourtney lured him away and soon they were hitting the clubs together!"
In actuality, Cheban is known for hanging out with a variety of Kardashian family members, including matriarch Kris Jenner, and he hasn't been "lured away" from Kim at all. In fact, they're still so close, Cheban and Kim dressed up together as Sonny and Cher for a Halloween party. How, then, has Kourtney stolen him away? She hasn't.
The second example is problematic as well, with the site maintaining, "Kourtney also 'stole' her assistant Stephanie [Shepherd] away." This assertion seems to be based on an October episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," in which Kim questioned Shepherd's increasingly close friendship with Kourtney. Kim and Shepard ended up parting ways in November, but it's not like the former staffer has now gone to work for her sister. So, again, how did Kourtney steal away Kim's assistant? She didn't.
To recap, RadarOnline is insisting Kourtney is stealing away members of Kim's camp, yet there's not a single staffer named who has ditched the latter to go work with the former. And the only two people who are actually mentioned haven't been "stolen" at all. Taken together, there's a lack of evidence combined with evidence that doesn't hold up under scrutiny. On top of that, a rep tells Gossip Cop the tale is "false." It seems the outlet is struggling, as usual, to accurately report on the family's professional dealings. Roughly two weeks before this unsubstantiated "entourage" story, the publication wrongly claimed Kim was "hiring [a] new team to seem more 'political.'" That hasn't happened, just as Gossip Cop said it wouldn't. This latest story is just as meritless.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
