Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are not divorcing, despite a new tabloid cover story that claims it's "officially over" between them. There is nothing official or true about the allegations. In fact, Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report. We're told it's "false."
The new issue of Life & Style features a headline exclaiming, "Weeks Before Baby No. 3, Kim's Divorcing Kanye." Tellingly, though, there's a factual error right in the first paragraph, with the tabloid asserting that Kardashian and West haven't been "photographed together since Sept. 23." Kardashian and West were actually photographed together on October 26, just last week, when the couple celebrated her birthday at an L.A. restaurant. Kardashian and others even shared social media videos showing the pair laughing and smiling together at the dinner.
So right off the bat it's clear this is a false narrative, and it only gets worse from there. The gossip magazine claims that even though the couple is expecting another child via surrogate, West's "continued erratic behavior and frequent absences" have "forced [Kardashian] to make a heartbreaking decision." A so-called "insider" is quoted as alleging, "Kim will be filing for divorce from Kanye. It's officially over. She's ready to move on with her life." The outlet depicts West as paranoid and untrusting, with a supposed "source" claiming he'll "go days without talking" to Kardashian. The questionable "insider" also asserts, "There are days she doesn't even see him."
But what about the recent trip Kardashian and West took to Utah for her birthday? Even that is portrayed in a negative light, with the tabloid's "insider" maintaining that although it was a "lovely gesture" from West, "Kim was bored out of her mind." The aforementioned "source" also contends, "She feels like she's tried everything. She's tired and done with this marriage."
Of course, Life & Style has been down this road before. The magazine falsely claimed in a cover story two years ago that West "dumped" Kardashian while she was pregnant with Saint and they were "headed for divorce." Obviously, that was untrue. And just a few months ago, the outlet wrongly alleged Kardashian and West had a "trial separation."
Curiously, neither the supposed dumping in 2015 nor the purported separation from June are mentioned in this new cover story about Kardashian filing for divorce. The publication makes these big declarations about impending splits, and when they don't actually happen, they're conveniently omitted in future articles. But Gossip Cop doesn't forget any of the lies that have been spread over the years.
Interestingly, this latest report is all about the reality star pulling the plug on her union, but never actually says when she allegedly plans to do so. The outlet's source contends Kardashian "definitely wants out of the marriage," but we're told she definitely doesn't. A rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop the cover story is "absolutely false."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
