Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were the targets of an attempted robbery Friday after a thief broke into three vehicles parked on the driveway of their Bel Air mansion. According to the reality star’s rep, however, the would-be robber was chased off by armed security before he could steal anything.

The incident reportedly occurred Friday at around 4 a.m. PT. TMZ reports that security cameras captured footage of the suspect, who appears to be a white male in his 20’s or 30’s. The authorities are currently on the search for the man caught on tape by the couple’s home surveillance system. Kardashian’s rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop, “Nothing was taken. The thief opened the car door and security startled him.”

The reality star and rapper, however, weren’t the only celebrities targeted. The suspect also broke into a car parked on the driveway of their next door neighbor Kathy Griffin. He managed to steal a purse from the vehicle, but police reportedly found the bag ditched nearby the scene of the crime. It’s unclear if money or any other items were taken from the purse.

Despite being targeted in another burglary, this situation obviously pales in comparison to Kardashian’s 2016 Paris robbery. As Gossip Cop reported, the reality star was tied up and held at gunpoint in her hotel room as masked men stole millions of dollars in jewelry, including her diamond engagement ring. As we also noted, the Kardashian family’s Dash store in Los Angeles was robbed earlier this year when a woman stole around $1,600 worth of clothing and perfume.

There have been a number of other celebrities who’ve been hit by robbers in 2017. Among the stars victimized include Kendall Jenner, Scott Disick, Floyd Mayweather, David Spade, Rachel Bilson, Alanis Morissette, Michael B. Jordan, Hilary Duff, Emmy Rossum and Jason Derulo, to name a few. Gossip Cop has reached out to the LAPD for more information about Friday’s attempted robbery.
