Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are not having "marriage trouble" simply because the reality star didn't mention her husband in an Instagram post on her birthday, despite a completely speculative tabloid report. Gossip Cop looked into the alleged drama and we can exclusively set the record straight.
"Kim Kardashian Shares Birthday Photos But Kanye West Is Nowhere To Be Found!" blares a headline on OK!'s website. The accompanying article notes that the reality star didn't reveal how she was celebrating her 37th birthday this past weekend. Instead, Kardashian shared an Instagram post on Saturday saying, "Thank you everyone for all of the love & light this year on my birthday! I love seeing all of your messages, they make me so happy. I love you!"
The unreliable magazine interpreted Kardashian's basic post thanking fans as a sign of marital trouble, insisting that the reality star "usually brags about Kanye West going all out for her by throwing her a surprise bash." The outlet adds, "This year, she was totally mum about what — if anything — he did for her on her special day." Of course, Kardashian choosing not to advertise her birthday plans on social media isn't indicative of marriage problems.
Despite the tabloid's article being completely illogical and speculative, Gossip Cop still checked in with Kardashian's rep, who exclusively assures us the spouses aren't having any issues. Additionally, the two did in fact celebrate Kardashian's birthday with a weekend getaway to the Amangiri resort in Canyon Point, Utah. She simply had a more low-key birthday than in past years, but West's absence from her Instagram feed doesn't mean they're headed for a split.
Unfortunately, OK! often attempts to break up the couple's marriage, so this latest attempt to do so isn't surprising. Gossip Cop previously busted the magazine last year for printing a bogus cover story alleging Kardashian and West were divorcing following his breakdown and her Paris robbery. It's been a full 10 months since that phony report and clearly the tabloid was 100 percent wrong. This latest article is more nonsense from the repeatedly discredited publication whose Kardashian source appear to be either imaginary or terribly ill-informed.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
