Khloe Kardashian is still not on the verge of marrying Tristan Thompson, contrary to a report that's late and wrong. Gossip Cop can bust this claim for the second time. The new parents' relationship is still very much up in the air.
But the latest issue of NW features the headline: "Khloe & Tristan: 'She's Marrying Him!'" It's apparent early on that the tabloid is full of it because it refers to a so-called "source," and quotes this unnamed and untraceable person as saying, among other things, "Khloe has fallen in love with him all over again, watching him be a dad to True." This isn't from a "source" with whom the gossip magazine spoke. It's plagiarized from an E! Online story last week about why Kardashian "hasn't given up" on Thompson yet. Notably, the quote actually ends with, "But [she also] knows she needs to really take a step back and make the right decision" about their future.
The outlet left out that key context to distort the meaning of the statement, on top of failing to give attribution to E!. In addition, this article also features plagiarized quotations from an Us Weekly report without any proper credit. That NW is so transparently stealing from other publications and twisting their reporting indicates the tabloid doesn't actually have a "source" of its own.
Yet the magazine goes on to purport to have a "second source," and claims Kardashian is "so blinded by love — and postnatal hormones no doubt — that she's apparently going to say yes if Tristan makes the ultimate gesture to win forgiveness and drops to down to one knee." Surprisingly, the outlet then acknowledges its contentions come from Heat, which last week alleged Kardashian wanted a "ring on her finger" so it would be clear Thompson is committed to her. In other words, the publication has no independent reporting whatsoever.
It also seems the tabloid made no attempt to fact-check the marriage contentions. But as Gossip Cop has already reported, Kardashian has no intention of marrying Thompson amid his cheating scandal. We pointed out a bevy of reliable reports that explained the "KUWTK" star hasn't even decided whether to stay in a romance with the NBA player, let alone marry him. And given that NW did no investigating of its own, it has no evidence to prove otherwise.
And since our debunking, E! reported in a story about Kardashian forgiving Thompson that she "goes 'back and forth' and her feelings about their relationship 'change daily.'" That's not someone who is ready and waiting for a marriage proposal. While it's of course possible the couple could patch things up and make plans to wed down the line, there's no truth to Kardashian marrying Thompson now under these current circumstances.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
