Is Khloe Kardashian canceling promo appearances because of her pregnancy? That's what one of the tabloids is claiming, but it isn't true at all. Gossip Cop can easily debunk this factually inaccurate report.
The story in question can be found in the current edition of OK! under the headline, "Khloe's Pregnant Pause." It begins by asserting Kardashian is "fulfilling a lifelong dream by having a baby," but wonders, "Has she waved bye-bye to millions in the process?" The gossip magazine alleges the expectant star has "canceled so many appearances to promote the second season of her series 'Revenge Body' and her denim line, Good American, she's disappointed partners and possibly impacted her bottom line."
"Khloe is usually so professional, but early in the pregnancy she wasn't ready to answer questions about the baby," a so-called "insider" is quoted as saying. The outlet's supposed source maintains Kardashian was "worried that she'd jinx everything by talking about it." That leads the publication to ask, "If she lost income as a result?"
Answers the alleged tipster, "She doesn't care. She needed to keep life simple and stress-free as long as possible. The baby is all that matters to her." While Gossip Cop has no doubt that the pregnancy is Kardashian's top priority and the most important part of her world right now, the tabloid's claims here are provably wrong.
For starters, it's telling that the magazine doesn't name one single scheduled appearance that's been canceled. That's because, contrary to what's alleged here, the "KUWTK" star still made appearances in her first and second trimesters, and she's still doing so now in her third trimester. For example, in early October, just days after it was first reported she was expecting, Kardashian participated in a Good American "anniversary celebration" at Nordstrom in Los Angeles.
Later that month, she traveled to New York City to be at a Good American pop-up shop. The same day, she met with the media at a press luncheon for Good American. And that same week, Kardashian also went to a Good American event at Bloomingdale's in Manhattan (see photo above). In all of those cases, she was committed to promoting the clothing line and fulfilled her obligations, despite the pregnancy.
More recently, just last week, Kardashian focused on promoting "Revenge Body" with appearances on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live." She also appeared on both "Entertainment Tonight" and "Extra" to discuss the show. Once again, she didn't bail but carried out her expected duties regardless of being pregnant. And though it is likely Kardashian will eventually decide to lay low as her pregnancy nears it end in the coming months, OK! is making accusations about her that right now clearly aren't true.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
