Khloe Kardashian feels "betrayed" by Kim Kardashian for meeting her ex Tristan Thompson for dinner? That's the phony rumor in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop has learned the story is false.
Kim got dinner with Thompson earlier this month for an upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, so now Life & Style is jumping on the chance to create fake drama out of the situation. "Of course Khloe was furious," an alleged tipster tells the magazine. "Kim swore she just happened to run into Tristan and only asked him to stay because he's True's dad."
"Khloe can't believe Kim would meet with Tristan behind her back," says the supposed insider, adding Khloe told her sister to "mind her own business." This premise is coming from an anonymous "source," but Gossip Cop reached out to Kim's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it's simply "not true."
It should be noted, considering that Kim's dinner with Thompson occurred on camera for an upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, it's likely the entire family was aware the two were meeting. Thompson and Khloe's relationship as parents following his multiple affairs has been one of the biggest plot points of the newest season, and the NBA player has already appeared multiple times on the reality show.
Meanwhile, Khloe's recent interviews about their relationship indicate that she and Thompson are in a much better place. "I'm not someone who holds a grudge," Khloe said on Ryan Seacrest's radio show earlier this month. "If I do that, it's only going to affect me." The reality star went on to say that she wanted everyone "to move on and to be happy, successful people." Khloe doesn't feel "betrayed" by her sister when she herself is attempting make peace with Thompson.
People magazine, a much more reliable source for celebrity news, is also reporting that the tensions between Khloe and Thompson have cooled as they work on co-parenting their child. "After everything they've been through, things have finally gotten to a calmer place," a source told the outlet.
This isn't the first time Life & Style has tried to exploit the popularity of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and its stars. In July, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for a bogus story about Kendall Jenner "cutting ties" with the family because there was too much drama surrounding them. We also called out the magazine in January 2018 for falsely claiming the Kardashian sisters were being "torn apart" by the men in their lives. The publication should just stick to watching the show instead of writing its own false narratives.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
