Khloe Kardashian is not balding as a side effect of her pregnancy, despite an inaccurate report claiming the mother-to-be is rapidly losing her hair. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can exclusively set the record straight.

“Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow! Inside Pregnant Khloe’s Big Balding Nightmare,” blares a new RadarOnline headline. The accompanying article quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “Khloe is worried she’s going bald. Tufts come out every time she brushes. She’s convinced the years of bleaching and extensions are going to result in bald patches. Nobody else has noticed but she’s obsessed with checking her hair in the mirror.”

Although it’s true temporary hair loss can be one of the side effects of pregnancy, Kardashian isn’t actually in the stage where she’d be affected by it. According to the American Pregnancy Association, hair loss during pregnancy is rare because “there is an increase in the level of estrogen hormones [which] causes hair to remain in the growing phase.” Pregnancy-related hair loss typically occurs one to five months after delivery, but it’s seldom serious enough to cause bald spots.

Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a mutual friend of ours and Kardashian who wasn’t authorized to comment on the record, but still dismissed the webloid’s report as “nonsense.” Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we’ve had to call out RadarOnline for publishing a phony story surrounding the reality star’s pregnancy. Gossip Cop recently busted the site for falsely claiming Kardashian feared she’s be “dumped in the delivery room” by Tristan Thompson.

Before the reality star announced her pregnancy, Gossip Cop called out the unreliable outlet for making up a story about Kardashian wanting to adopt her brother Rob’s baby daughter, Dream, because she felt “her biological clock is ticking away.” The website’s latest article concerning the reality star’s maternity is equally bogus.
