Khloe Kardashian revealed her baby girl's name is True Thompson on Monday, and in the process exposed HollywoodLife once again for flagrantly lying. At 2:50 p.m., the untrustworthy site, also known as HollywoodLies, ran a headline that read, "Khloe Kardashian Waiting To Reveal Baby Name Until She's Sure Tristan's Scandal Is Over." Then, at 3:16 p.m., Kardashian announced the little girl's name on Instagram.
So, was Thompson's alleged cheating scandal suddenly "over" just 26 minutes later? And was Kardashian really only "waiting" a few more minutes to reveal the name? No, what really happened is that shortly after HollywoodLies published yet another one of its fake news stories, it got caught lying. It should be noted that the outlet tried to cover up its fabricated article, but Gossip Cop screen grabbed their original made-up report before they hastily rewrote it (see below). Whoops.
In the original piece, the blog wrote, "It's only four days since Khloe Kardashian, 33, gave birth to her and Tristan Thompson's, 27, first child, but already fans are waiting on the edge of their seats to find out what name she picked for their daughter." The often discredited website then asserted, "In reality, though, people may have to wait a whole lot longer, as HL learned Khloe is in no rush to speak out. In fact, she'll most likely wait to share details if and when more cheating allegations against Tristan come out."
It's funny how the repeatedly disgraced outlet uses the phrase "in reality." Of course, "in reality," the blog made up this entire phony narrative, and fans didn't have to wait longer than 26 minutes to find out the little girl's name was True, and that nothing published in website's article was, well, true.
And far from showing that Kardashian still had issues with Thompson, when she shared the baby's name on Instagram, she lovingly wrote as a united couple, "Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE. Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family! Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!"
As Gossip Cop has proven on many occasions, HollywoodLies often pretends to get its information from insiders. But we have been assured over and over no one close to the Kardashians is sharing any dish with that website. Instead, the blog hides behind unnamed, unidentifiable and often probably nonexistent individuals to back up its concocted claims.
And it did it again with this phony tale about Kardashian "waiting to reveal" the baby's name until Thompson's "scandal is over." In typical HollywoodLies fashion, the outlet alleged a "source close to Khloe" told the site that Kardashian wanted to do the name "reveal around the time another girl admits to cheating with Tristan so she can hopefully drown out that news with something good that is happening in her life." The same undoubtedly fake "source" added, "It's sad it has gotten to that point, but that is now her reality."
No, what's sad is that HollywoodLife manufactures fake news and pretends it is "reality." While trying the cover its tracks, the blog didn't just swap out an Instagram photo for video (below); it actually changed its headline from "Khloe Kardashian Waiting To Reveal Baby Name Until She's Sure Tristan's Scandal Is Over" to "Khloe Kardashian Waited To Reveal Baby Name Until She's Sure Tristan's Scandal Is Over" (emphasis supplied). And the original line about how Kardashian will "wait to share details if and when more cheating allegations against Tristan come out" was changed to "she waited to share details until she was sure more cheating allegations against Tristan wouldn't come out" (see below).
While real journalists cultivate actual sources and fact-check stories, it seems HollywoodLies just makes up tall tales, concocts fake source quotes, and then prays it doesn't get nailed. But it does — a lot. Let's not forget how this same site reported it had an exclusive in December when it blared in a headline, "Khloe Kardashian & Tristan Thompson Are Having A Baby Boy, Says Source." In that made-up report, the site magically came up with yet another untraceable "source" who swore up and down Kardashian and Thompson were "having a boy, and they're super excited about it!" In "reality," Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl named True, and like that claim, the latest article is also 100 percent provably untrue.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
