A story about Khloe Kardashian “leaning” toward a “normal” baby name was made-up. Far from coming from an actual “source close to Khloe,” as claimed, this appears to be obvious guesses based on comments the mom-to-be has publicly made. Gossip Cop can bust the report.

This phony “exclusive” comes from HollywoodLife, the same website that questioned whether Kardashian really had a baby bump after spending weeks claiming to have “exclusive” insight on her pregnancy. This is an outlet that has repeatedly pretended to be in-the-know yet has either been proven wrong or shown to be relying on readily available information. The latter situation is what’s going on now, with the blog currently trying to pass off reasonable assumptions as a genuine scoop.

“While Kim Kardashian is known for her unique baby names, HL learned exclusively Khloe wants to take the opposite approach with her child,” contends the online publication, which is known as HollywoodLies for its tendency to manufacture fake news stories. The supposed “source close to Khloe” is quoted as saying, “Khloe is leaning towards a more normal name for her child and is looking to Tristan for suggestions as well. It is a complete joint effort and they aren’t worrying about doing a weird celebrity child name.”

The site goes on to ask readers, “Are you surprised Khloe reportedly wants a normal name for her baby?” No, it’s not surprising at all, and here’s why: Kardashian already revealed her preferred baby name for a boy on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” earlier this month. “If it’s a boy, I’ll go with Junior… Tristan, Jr,” she said. That she wants to go with something as non-scandalous as “Tristan” and as common as “Junior” shows that she’s embracing normal baby names. No one needed a “source” to discover that.

It’s also not a revelation to claim the “KUWTK” star doesn’t have a moniker picked out yet. Kardashian herself revealed just last week that she doesn’t have a baby name yet. When a fan tweeted to her, “I can’t wait to see what @khloekardashian names her baby,” the first-time mom replied, “Ugh me too!! lol I can barely decide what I want to eat. Let alone name a baby.” A few days later, she also told another follower who offered names like “Theo” and “Kara” that they were “great suggestions.”

So HollywoodLies is hardly offering “exclusive” or even new information when it asserts Kardashian is still deciding and “leaning” toward something “normal.” Anyone with a TV and an internet connection could’ve reached the same conclusions. The blog simply wants to give off the false appearance that, even though real Kardashian sources don’t spill to the website, it has unique and authentic content when it comes to her and the pregnancy. It does not.
